True but my fear is that these guys will dissapear after this series and then its back to the Raos, Sami, Hafeez, Hameed, Iqbal, etc..
 
141 kph from wahab .. fastest ball of the series i reckon.

Faulty speed gun doesnt mean the guys is necessarily bowling quick. These speed guns are even more ridiculous than the ones normally used. totally unreliable. Wahab doesnt seem as sharp as rauf, and rauf wasnt getting it in the 140s according to the gun.

Anyhows, sohail khan was quicker than rauf, and rauf is quicker than any other guy on display in this series. been quite impressed by our new mohammad akram type bowler. seemed to have good seam position, i think hell be a regular outswinger and get the ball to seam too. all in all a good day so far, and that catch!!!! wow, cant remember the last time i saw someone TAKE the catch off the ground diving in the air in pak colours. nice.

If only sohail khan was playing, and if only malik wasnt captain, id be reasonably happy about the australian series prospects. if only. anyways back to the game.
 
Riaz is only 22 years old. We might have found a diamond in the rough. (hopefully)

I'm impressed with Wahab. He's got some pace too. Has consistently hit 140 ks few times.

140.6 kph by Wahab. Thats the third time he has touched 140 kph, while Sohail and Rauf failed to reach that mark even once

As I say this, Wahab gets another wicket. Williams tries to pull, gets a top edge and an easy catch to Khurram Manzoor

PP, his first delivery was clocked at 141.1 kph! How fast he 'looked' is a matter of perspective :P

Both Wahab Riaz and Abdur Rauf have been awesome so far in this match. I hope these two get chances against Australia inplace of other no-gooders like Rao, Arafat etc
 
speed gun all over the place. no way these deliveries were 110 ks. However, in my opinion, sohail still seems the quicker out of the three so far. and rauf and wahab.....well too soon to say yet. forget about the speed readings guys, theyre useless.

67-4, id liek to see a slip in there, and as i speak chibhabha is gone lbw to a malik quicker one! looked in fron of middle, hit him a little high on the thigh........was it too high?

Guys what do think we can actually learn from this zimbabwe series in terms of bowling, we have basically tried a lot of players for 1 or 2 games and that is it.

Only Tanvir appears to be constant, everyone else hasn't had enough time to credibly cement a place against a worthy opposition.

What the hell is Malik doing bowling himself for so long?! There is a youngster Rizwan Ahmed waiting to bowl
 
Ok so now i m thinking that maybe anything above 140K or close to 145k is not well recorded cuz last game whenever Sohail was bowling under 140k the speed gun showed it but whenever it seemed like he was probably bowling even faster the speed gun showed it at around 110ks eg: that Yorker and his first bouncer. And same thing was happening was Rauf today.
 
Still no Rizwan Ahmed! This isn't good from Malik. New guys should be given a chance as early as possible

Is it me or does anyone else find it funny how our most comprehensive bowling performance in the series came when we had the "raw" youngsters.
