I think the reason we want power hitters is because we dont have the players who can clear the boundary int he back end of an innings

plus very few players in pak can rotate strike. Babar is one, sarfraz is okay, Umar is good at it as well ( usally).

Azhar is doing well today but usually awful.

Still off all the names mentioned Umar is the only one capabale of hitting out in the end

That's not required to be honest. In last 15 overs, say 90 balls. If 2 set batsmen are there, at least 80 should produce scoring shot.

Take 60 singles, 6 doubles, 2 triple, 10 boundaries & couple of SIX + 5 extra = 135 in last 9 overs. On top of that, if someone has a better day, it can go to 150. PAK's problem is in later stages, there is not enough singles/doubles & team is completely dependent on boundary hitting.

Babar gone - need to improve on concentration. That can happen if he starts to bat at 3 in Domestics.

Think Malik's been given one last chance to prove himself in a position of responsibility. Some might say he failed before as he batted too low down the order.

Rizwan will get more opportunities in the future likely even if he's dropped. Though tough to see Malik returning again if he gets dropped.

Personally though if Malik had to play, I would have just batted Sarfraz at four, then Rizwan and then Malik.
