Did he leave or cover up ? I doubt it .

I’ve been to matches with a a South Africa T-shirt or football shirts many times .

Imo this took place … some Indian fans felt threatened , their kids were in tears , their nanni was having a stroke and their uncle was googling bomb shelters in Manchester. Hence the security informed.

I was watching live F1. India batted like midgets , being 2-1 down you have to go for the win but these jokers only cared about personal milestone.

India has a billion playing the only sport most do , most money but will never dominate cricket like WI and Aus as Indians are mentally weak

Losing to Bangladesh is the lowest of lows, I don't understand Pak cricket team they beat Eng at home but can't take care of business against the lowly Bangladeshi kitty cats.
We are total sh*t and prob more Kenya level of minnow. I have accepted and embraced this notion. With the amount of corruption and groupies running rampant within the framework, I don't see things getting better any time soon.

From the ESPNCricinfo article on this incident:
In recent years, Lancashire have openly spoken of building their links with India. The Hundred team based at the ground, Manchester Originals, are set to become 70% owned by Sanjiv Goenka's RPSG group, which runs Lucknow Super Giants in the IPL, while Lancashire's chief executive, Daniel Gidney, has suggested giving the BCCI a stake in the 100-ball tournament.

Also, respect to the spectator for opting to leave the ground, rather than hide his shirt.

The security guard, who identifies himself as working for Lancashire, says: "I've been asked by control if you can cover that shirt up, please." Later on, a steward can be heard saying the shirt "might be considered nationalistic".

imagine a national team’s jersey representing a nation. Outrageous

TBH, an uncle rolling up like that in an Env v Ind match could be seen as provocative. You could see from his argument that he was a bit intent on being confrontational.

lol just smashed England and made their FTBs Brook and Root dance to the tunes of Sajid but sure we are Kenya level...amount of delusion in that post

What argument? He wanted to know why he was getting kicked out nothing confrontational about it other than his typical Brit Pak accent @Cpt. Rishwat

Honestly Indian fans and whoever had the influence are such snowflakes. Honestly, get a thicker skin man. Such pampered little babies now!

I remember in the famous 1999 WC group game vs Australia at Headingley where it was 95% Pakistanis, two Indian guys were walking past wearing Indian shirts. Some people boo-ed, some cheered, some laughed, the Indians laughed too. - bit of banter and the game went on.

Seriously grow a pair!

As mentioned to @Devadwal and @Bhaag Viru Bhaag Inds tend to be quite timid like BD. Pak and SL have the mongrel in us.

Some posts are for entertainment purposes only - don't take everything too literal.

Pakistani poster's were worshipping England team during the match against India but slapped by England authorities as vindicated in this thread

😂😂😂😂😂😂😂 :kp
Pakistani posters got slapped? How? And the steward that rocked up was an Indian. The two police birds couldn't be bothered with it either.

This incident has nothing to do with Indian team or fans. It's between Pakistan fans and England authority. :kp

Pakistan fans? As in one solitary uncle who decided to waltz up in a Pak shirt?

Lancashire have said they are investigating after an incident in which a fan attending the fourth Test between England and India at Old Trafford was asked to cover up the Pakistan shirt they were wearing.

The fan, named in Pakistani media as Farooq Nazar, posted a video on social media documenting the request, initially from a member of the security staff at the ground, that he cover the shirt, a replica of Pakistan's traditional green limited-overs kit.

The security guard, who identifies himself as working for Lancashire, says: "I've been asked by control if you can cover that shirt up, please." Later on, a steward can be heard saying the shirt "might be considered nationalistic".

In the video, Nazar can be seen becoming increasingly agitated amid repeated requests to cover up. Eventually, he is approached by a police officer, who asks to continue the conversation away from the stands. According to reports, Nazar then opted to leave the ground rather than hide his shirt.

Political relations between India and Pakistan, frosty for years, have been at their most tense this year, following a brief military skirmish between the two countries in May. Those tensions have filtered into relations between the BCCI and PCB; the two sides have not played a bilateral series since 2012-13 and no Test cricket since 2007-08. Their participation in ICC events hosted by either country has also recently become problematic, with a neutral venue added in to stage their games as part of a hybrid solution to the issue.

It is unclear on which day of the Test, which ended in a draw as India batted their way through five sessions, the incident took place but Lancashire confirmed they were looking into it.

"We are aware of the incident referenced and are taking steps to understand the facts and context surrounding the matter fully," a Lancashire spokesperson said.

Joke is indians and their insecurities. I dare u to wesr paks shirt in ahmedabad. We all can wear kohlis shirt in lahore and no one stop us.
Why should i wear Pakistan shirt? Never ever. :kp

You can also wear a Kohli shirt or a Pakistani shirt in Bangladesh. Nothing would happen.

Not possible in India as India have become an extremist country just like Germany was in 1930's. It took a full-blown war to humble Germany. Perhaps something similar is needed to humble India also. :inti

I have a feeling security guard (who looked Indian) acted without authorization from higher-up. Probably some Indian losers complained and the security guard obliged.

An example should be made out of this. The security guard should publicly apologize and he should lose his job. This was full-blown discrimination. :inti
Was waiting for you to bring india into this even though india has nothing to do with the security arrangement.

POLL ADDED GUYS.

I THINK IT WAS AN UNNECESSARY THING TO DO... NOT ACCEPTABLE.

Agreed totally unnecessary. What was the need to wear Pakistani t-shirt in an Eng v Ind game? Normally people wear team jersey to support that specific team. However Pakistan was not one of the participants. So what was the reason to spot Pakistani t-shirt? Ofcourse the motive was to instigate and antagonize fans perhaps for his social media consuption. Good on police and authorities to boot him out.

Also, the guy is not very smart. He wore WC 2019 jersey and went to provoke Indian fans at the same ground where India mauled Pakistan in the same tournament. Atleast he should have waited till oval test and spot the CT 17 t-shirt.

:genius

He hasn't got a Brit accent, he's clearly an immigrant. Fair play to him though, this is quite typical of Pakistani immigrants, they are cocksure of themselves and never hide or bootlick like their Indian counterparts.

I assume because they felt it could instigate an incident that they wanted to avoid.
So they let the guy in, he watches two full hours of the game without a single issue, and suddenly his shirt becomes an issue? Let’s call it what it, some fragile, Indians couldn’t handle the sight of a green Pakistan jersey without throwing a tantrum. They cried to the staff like toddlers, and the organizers caved to their manufactured outrage.

All UK PPers. Write to your local MPs to ban this Hindutva racism in the UK cricket.

Cricket is an educated sport and never has there been trouble unless the cult are involved.

The Pakistani fan should have lawyers queuing up to represent him.

The Lancashire ground is heading for a massive racism case / payout, and this after the entire Afeem saga.

Tossers had no problem with the odd green shirt in the heartland of Hindutva, but think they can hide behind the white man here.

BCCI is done, and soon will be designated a racist organisation.

Why are Indians so scared ? He wasn’t a pilot lol

According to this uncle himself, no Indian complained about him. Watch the video again. Angrez has a rule in place now, only team jersey's are allowed. Knowing the notorious history of Pakistanis and for being known trouble makers, the autorities are extra vigilant.

He said nobody complained to him personally. Security only intervene if there are complaints people feel threatened in int cricket matches in England. The security didn’t mention he made any sort of trouble , this is your imagination. Don’t be scared , nobody will attack you in a stadium with thousands of you lol

May 2025 will haunt Indians for generations, every glimpse of a green jersey will be enough to make them shat their pants

Even a shirt is triggering Indians....LOL

You guys need to throw the hatred-filled glasses to see the world.. It is beautiful..
Pop open a cool one brother, the ground security does not have a direct line from the PM’s office. The PM of India that is.

Excellent work by security. When you wear a team jersey or a t-shirt with some messages, you clearly showing your allegiance for a specific country or a cause. In an India vs England test match, what is the need to wear Pakistani t-shirt? What message was he trying to send?

We all have watched cricket in UK and well aware that security will not bother anyone unless there is a reason behind it. India and Pakistan recently fought a war. I refuse to believe this guy was a silent watcher and was not there to instigate. UK police and security will not go after anyone without proper intel.
For the same reason I sometimes wear an eagles jersey to a giants game even if the eagles aren’t playing. Freedom of expression. I know pau pau has taken that away from you lot in India but here in the civilized world we still have it.

pretty dumb stuff by the indian looking steward. This is gonna be a court case where that idiot loses his job. I feel sorry for the family he looks after.
