Pakistan's diplomatic stance in case of a possible China-Taiwan conflict

In case such a conflict erupts, the govt, establishment and the foreign affairs ministry need to be on the same page; rather than look or sound confused. They must meet and plan ahead because this will be one hell of a diplomatic tight-rope walk.

Every country looks after their own interests, but the issue with Pakistan's top brass is figuring what the needs are and work together to get there. Bilawal & team need to be prepared, rather than send out mixed messages. The economic situation is precarious and Pakistan cannot afford to alienate either side.

Taiwan belongs to China. Pakistan has little choice but to support or at least not condemn any policy inc war , which China holds.

The only issue is the current imported puppet government is a slave to Yanks. How these idiots will react is anyone's guess.

China realized the golden goose that is Taiwan, I always was amazed at the sheer intelligence that Taiwanese semiconductor engineers had.

TSMC is something China will never let it go outside its jurisdiction.

Have you tried asking the people there what they think is in their best interests (as posters here often want to do when it comes to disputed territory)? I’ve spent a fair bit of time in Taiwan and Hong Kong and they genuinely dislike mainlanders and don’t want anything to do with them.

The question isn't about the rights and wrongs of war, it's about what benefits Pakistan the most. Rest assured the country needs it.

If the nation is throwing it's weight behind China then it's critical not to sell itself cheap. Loan write offs, currency swap arrangements, favourable trade deals, cheaper credit lines...... not simply fly to Beijing for a shakehand and photo op, then comeback empty handed.

The diplomatic mess around the Russia Ukraine crisis is a prime example of how not to do it, left with the worst of both worlds. Russia tricked a gullible IK to stand aside Putin the same day he started the Ukraine conflict. It was embarrassing, and to top it all the nation got absolutely nothing in return.

Hopefully this time there's a strategy in place which the government and establishment can equally agree on.
