Mohammad Rameez bowling his heart out.

Punjab look very bogged down,it doesnt seem as if Nasir Jamshed can play his shot or free his arms at all.

Shoaib was pretty impressive.
Not only did he bowl with pretty decent pace, his line and length from the first over was spot on though he was bowling to two lefties. He bowled one slower in the 7th over I think.
Hopefully he can come back in the death overs and bowl a few inswinging yorkers. That would be the icing on the cake.

On another note thank God Farhat is no where near the National team. Guy showed no foot work and all of his shots were miscued.

good to see akhtar still producing decent pace. he needs to ball out his 10

Even if Akhtar is between 140-145ks he should be in the Pakistan team ahead of Gul or Sami.

Only Pakistani bowler who is better than him is Asif.

So if he is fit and commited he should get a chance.

That's your opinion what I saw was a struggling akhtar against a clown batting.

Akhtar bowled very very well today.
I really want him to bowl well this tournament and show the selectors he needs to return in the team, first in our T20 lineup then a swift transition to the ODI team (if he does well in T20s).

:akhtar needs to bowl as much ovs as he can,no need to worry about wkts,they'll come.Match-fitness is the key......he should play all matches in the tourney first,then we could speculate about his return to the side.......
 
When I look at these new cricketers..I remember those golden oldies were far better..I will take a fit Shoib Akhtar any day on ABdul Raham...
 
Can somebody tell me if GEO TV UK ended up showing it live today or not?! As I remember tuning in at 10 am when they had it listed on their schedule for the game but they were showing their own ads and then had put some songs on. I'd like to know if they did or they didnt in the end?!
 
good figures for Akhtar. 8 overs for 45 runs with 2 wickets. he has done a good job and that bouncer was great to get out kamran younis.
 
Punjab were 160/2 and 187/4 and should have won the game with ease!

They bottled it big time. Good to see Akthar fit and performing!
 
Nasir Jamshed made a 100 and no talk of him.

Shoaib Akhtar does what is the bare minimum requirement of a bowler in 50 over matches and everyone is drooling over him. (I'm not saying that he didn't bowl well)
