What you call restoration of faith to the correct state requires the destruction of the belief that Jesus is the son of God and he rose from the dead. This is what Islam clearly prescribes and suggests.
It is strange that God took 600 years to correct the misconception of Christians. In the mean time, Christianity firmly establishes itself and spreads to half of the world.

I don't imply it. Muslims categorically reject the concept of trinity and therefore will believe Christian belief is corrupted.

Yeah, on one hand for example, some will honor rats as holy creatures and worship them, and on the other hand, some will catch rats and eat them as delicacy. Some eat dead human bodies and others call cow as their mother - but when the same cow dies, they let the astray dogs feed on it. One wonders how can you treat the dead body of your mother like that?

Well, I don’t have a problem with however they want to practice their faith, as long as they are peaceful and just towards others.

Nope. You can worship whomever you want depending upon whom you want to. By default, there's 3 main gods but everything else is descendents/creations from them and hence whatever you worship, it links back to them.
