It was Tanvir for heaven's sake. You only had to block his long on/mid wicket slogs - he gave it right under his zone. A quality death bowler won't.

1. PCB & PAK cricket is unique - opposite to every where. So, after a months preparation, PAK premium List A tournament started in mid April on absolute shambolic wickets where after 1st 20 overs, it became near impossible to maintain 5/over. After 7 days repetitive use with match on every day, & season nearing to summer with lesser dew, suddenly the wicket changed it's nature & we are watching 625+ match scores. It's impossible to maintain a single venue for 11 matches in less than 2 weeks time; it should be head heavy tournament, not runs loaded in tails - but, PAK cricket & PCB has divine blessings - miracle does take place here.

2. PCB is the most corrupt, incompetent, irresponsible & unprofessional cricket (sports) board around. The people responsible for preparing the wickets for such a coveted tournament gave a damn sh*t to their task & never bothered to do a sanity check on actual wicket conditions before the start of the tournament, because they don't feel for it, neither care for it as they don't have professional pride or fear for their job. Now the tournament started with back to back matches & everyone could see what was happening. Those people finally had to wake-up (may be got some phone call as well) & I am sure there was quite a bit of "effort" during the 48 hours window. Had that "effort" been given 2 weeks prior to the tournament, weather or climate won't have made chasing 200 like 350 on a fresh wicket.

Yeah, I said that in jest, but he was good. Tbh even with his fitness, I'd still take him over Sarfraz in ODIs. He's been performing in list a cricket since the tournament before too.

Not sure about ODI, but kakmal should have been taken to Asia Cup at least - if he failed there, fair enough, he could have been the player PAK missing in WC. Kakmal/Sharjeel was the pair to open in T20.
