He is top batsman with pretty average statistics. Maybe he looses concentration when he gets into the 50s or he has poor fitness, which could be the reason for the poor concentration. One thing for sure, he is and has been the only South African World Class batsman since the retirement of the greats

Why is Gill selected in our t20 team? Is it because he is black as well?

They want a marketable, all format, super star just like india and if he encouraged representation among all young people in South Africa, it's cherry on the cake.
