It was Gadkari who pressured Tesla that they were not going to be able to get away manufacturing in China while selling in India. If it were up to Modi, like he gave away land to his master Xi or turned India into a dumping ground for 2nd class Chinese electronic goods with Indian brand names slapped on them, this too would have ended that way.

"BJP Not Against Caste Census, Congress Wants It To Divide People": JP Nadda

The BJP is not against caste census but the Congress wants to carry out the exercise to divide society, the ruling party's chief JP Nadda said in Chhindwara in Madhya Pradesh on Friday.

The Narendra Modi government's focus was on empowerment of 'GYAN' or Garib, Yuva, Annadata-Kisan and Narishakti (poor, youth, farmers and women), whose progress is key for the development of the nation, Nadda asserted.

"We are not against conducting caste census, but Congress wants to carry out the exercise to divide people. The opposition parties are in disarray as PM Modi has changed the way politics is being done in the country. Earlier, it was based on caste, religion, region etc. The Congress pitted brother against brother," he said.

"Under PM Modi, the politics of development has taken centre-stage. People want to be associated with development. Politics now is not based on vote banks and appeasement but on your report card and the ability to carry out responsibilities," the BJP president further said.

PM Modi had taken bold decisions like abrogating Article 370 in Jammu-Kashmir, construction of the Ram Temple in Ayodhya and implementation of 'One Rank One Pension' (OROP) for the welfare of ex-servicemen, he said.

Before 2014, the country was plagued with corruption but now "India is not a pleading nation but a leading nation".

"India is now the fifth largest economy in the world, bigger than that of United Kingdom, which ruled the country once. In Modi's third term, India's economy will reach third position by 2027. Electronics exports have increased six times, medicine exports by 138 per cent and petrochemical exports have increased by 108 per cent," he said hailing the Modi dispensation.

"Fourteen medical colleges are being set up in MP. The state government's Ladli Behna Yojana is empowering women. The Modi government passed the Women Reservation Bill. The next polls will be conducted under the provisions of the new Act," Mr Nadda said.

The Congress-led Indian National Developmental Inclusive Alliance (INDIA), on the other hand, has come together to save the corrupt and their own families, Mr Nadda claimed.

Chhindwara, a bastion of senior Congress leader Kamal Nath, is the only seat the opposition party won in MP in the 2019 Lok Sabha polls. The remaining 28 seats were won by the Bharatiya Janata Party.

Praising the large turnout, Mr Nadda said it was obvious people want to elect a local leader this time.

The Congress gave tickets from in Madhya Pradesh to just one family, Mr Nadda said.

"Kamal Nath and his (sitting MP) son Nakul Nath represent dynastic politics just like Rahul and Priyanka Gandhi. Only in the BJP, the son of a poor family becomes PM. The same applies to MP CM Mohan Yadav and (senior leader) Kailash Vijayvargiya," Mr Nadda said.

Former BJP MP Manvendra Singh, son of former Union minister Jaswant Singh, returned to the party on Friday following a five-year stint with the Congress.

Mr Singh, who had switched to Congress in October 2018, joined the BJP ahead of Prime Minister Narendra Modi's rally in Barmer. He also shared the stage with other leaders of the BJP during the PM's rally.

"Today I rejoined the BJP family and party workers in the presence of Prime Minister Narendra Bhai Modi at Adarsh Stadium in Barmer. We are all committed to realising the public welfare policies of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and the resolution of 'Vikshit Bharat'," he said in a Facebook post.

Mr Singh was elected as the BJP MLA from Barmer's Sheo assembly constituency in December 2013.

When the BJP denied a ticket to Jaswant Singh, who then contested the Lok Sabha election as an independent and lost, Manvendra Singh turned rebel and campaigned against the party's candidate in support of his father.

Manvendra Singh was suspended from the party ahead of the 2018 assembly elections.

Supreme Court to hear Arvind Kejriwal's plea against arrest​

The Supreme Court is scheduled to hear on Monday Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal's plea against a high court order that has upheld his arrest in a money-laundering case stemming from the alleged excise policy scam.

According to the cause list uploaded on the apex court's website, a bench of Justices Sanjiv Khanna and Dipankar Datta will hear on April 15 Kejriwal's petition challenging the Delhi High Court's April 9 order.

In a massive blow to the chief minister, the high court has upheld his arrest in the money-laundering case, saying the Enforcement Directorate (ED) was left with "little option" after he skipped repeated summonses and refused to join the investigation.

The high court has dismissed the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) leader's petition challenging his arrest by the ED and subsequent remand in the federal agency's custody.

The matter pertains to alleged corruption and money laundering in the formulation and execution of the Delhi government's excise policy for 2021-22 that was later scrapped.

Kejriwal was arrested by the ED on March 21, hours after the high court refused to grant him protection from coercive action by the federal anti-money laundering agency.

He is in judicial custody till April 15 and is currently lodged in Tihar Jail.

That’s nothing, the electoral bond scam showed how the power of money and greed led to massacre of innocent children.

Kejriwal 110% made corruption in new liquor policy… when Delhi’s chief secretary sighted corruption in new liquor policy and ordered CBI… kejriwal immediately called assembly session, taken back new liquor and restored old one. If there was no corruption in new liquor policy, Kejriwal should have remained firm on it.

Do you have any evidence? So far even the Supreme court has refused to grant him bail and has asked for clarification from ED. So what that tells me is that both the HC and SC did not buy his C&B story.
