KL Rahul deserves this humiliation. You do not bat like an ODI in a T20.

Head and Abhishek are beats in PP. They don't care who the bowler is or what the target is. They only bat one way.

The likes of KL Rahul, Rohit, Kohli should not bat in Powerplay. Their style of play is outdated by more than a decade. It was cool back then. Not now.
 
Travis Head (89*) and Abhishek Sharma (75*) chased down 166 inside 9.4 overs to brush aside the Lucknow Super Giants by 10 wickets and give themselves a massive net run rate boost at the Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium.

Ayush Badoni starred with a feisty half century as he, with the help of Nicholas Pooran guided LSG to 165/4 against SRH. Bhuvneshwar Kumar rattled Lucknow Super Giants early when he sent back both Quinton de Kock and Marcus Stoinis cheaply. Skipper KL Rahul would follow with 29 when he was snapped up by Pat Cummins. the australian would strike again soon when he ran out a well-set Krunal Pandya as well.

Lucknow Super Giants captain KL Rahul won the toss and opted to bat first against Sunrisers Hyderabad on Wednesday. Both teams made 2 changes each with Sanvir Singh coming in for Mayank Agarwal and Vijayakanth Viyaskanth making his debut in place of Marco Jansen for SRH. Meanwhile, Quinton de Kock came back in while Mohsin Khan missed out for Lucknow.

The number of volleys served in this match was commendable.

It was a bat vs bat contest yet again. And better hitters prevailed.
 
IPL is way too long to follow. BCCI should try to reduce the duration of the tournament to 6 weeks and think about double headers on Friday, Saturday as well. 2 months is too long and even the viewer eventually becomes fatigued.

Mathew Hayden called it right halfway through. He said Badoni+Pooran’s partnership was evidence that this isn’t a 160 track. They were well short because of KL’s pathetic batting

Has any PSL owner ever really stuck it to his team after a defeat?

Personally i believe the Franchise owners should not be allowed in the team dressing room and dug out. They have coaches and support staff for a reason, let them deal with the players. Owners coming into the team dug out and dressing room and lashes out at the players, coaches will only create a scary bad environment inside the team.

These owners were really letting their frustrations known openly. They were taunting the drop catch by Yash. They’ve literally had it with this team
 
Rahul went in to shell once again that costed them the match. T20 has changed a lot now. Maybe SRH is an outliner.

When you don't have proper performance appraisal from time to time you will win nothing. There will be no motivation to improve. This is what RCB/Punjab XI/Delhi management should do. Setting high expectation from the team.
 
This match absoultely decimated the myth of anchors in T20. Even an anchor should have massive acceleration skills.

Believe me it will very well happen. Babar's paindu nature as captain and his incompetence will sadly cost Pakistan in due course and Mohsin Naqvi being the no nonsense administrator will let Babar have it. Babar will regret accepting the captaincy and will resign to avoid any further scarring.
 
Scoring 167 on this Hyderabad pitch, which is obviously on steroids in like scoring 90 in a normal T20 game. Although I wonder if even 250 would have been enough for this SRH batting line-up on this wicket.
 
This was probably worst T20 bowling I have ever seen. At this rate, SRH would've made 350+ in a T20 match. I dont understand what is so special about Naveen ul Haq?

He is decent and performed well. He is definitely better than BD bowlers.

The issue is not who was bowling. It is who is batting. You cannot stop batsmen like Head when he is in full flow. It takes some luck to stop him. In this case the other batsman Abhisek is also a tremendous hitter. That makes the bowlers job even more difficult.

I don't think you would not have seen that score if they were bowling to Kohli and Faf.
 
I hope West indies rolls out absolute belters. These self-appointed anchors will be exposed big time.
 
THe way SRH dismantled LSG was a joke. WHat type of cricket is this?

It made the game only for the batters to enjoy and there was nothing left for bowlers to do. I will prefer last balls thrillers and low-scoring ones rather than this 1-sided traffic.

With 10 teams now, it is easier to organize double headers. Sometimes a team has to wait like 5-6 days for their next game. At least on Saturday there should be 2 games, also on selected additional government holidays (state in which the game is held) there can be double headers...

Modern day cricket. No concept of single after boundary. Keep going as long as you could. You need skill and attitude to play like this. This is why not many teams play like this. Only KKR and SRH play like this. Phil Salt did that in internationals as well. Opposition just has to get up to speed. Sure there are some pitches where tuk tukers will have their value. But these tuk tukers think every pitch is challenging.

People might like the idea of more sixes and fours and scored of 300 in t20s but it will not be a cricket anymore. It will be a one way traffic for batters and the bowlers will seem irrelevant. Might as well use bowling machines instead of putting that much burden on bowlers.

You cannot control. In the mid 80s Richards and Greenidge added 226 runs in 26 overs in a ODI. Bowlers were destroyed :) People enjoyed it. 40 years later you have more people with same attitude. Besides Test matches are there for balance.
ODIs are there for balance. T20 is always going to be a heavily batsmen oriented game. Nobody wants to see taking singles, twos for 20 overs. We are trying to make it look like ODI which is not possible. You need players like KL Rahul, Babar, Bavuma to create balance between bat and ball.

Travis head bats like this even in Test match. Australia rolled out an unplayable fast Gabba pitch for South Afirca. Every single batsman was struggling. Head made 92 in 96 balls. We have to give credit to batsmen.

One of the better innings from Kohli. He needs to continue this form to WC.

Looking at RCB bowling, it could be par score.
 
Faf playing dirty tricks. He saw that Shashank was not looking at him when he was running.

Faf should've moved. But he just stood there and bumped him. Pathetic.
 
Punjab looks like a dumb franchise with no planning on their squad.

Pakistani bowlers were beyond rubbish in the last wc, a fat Rohit sharma treated you like club level trundlers.

You bowled at 140k and got deposited into the stands at 200k

Virat Kohli starred as Royal Challengers Bangalore beat Punjab Kings by 60 runs at Himachal Pradesh Cricket Association Stadium in Dharamsala on Thursday. Kohli anchored the innings as RCB posted a huge total of 241 for 7 in 20 overs. Kohli, who scored 92 runs off 47 balls in the game, crossed the mark of 1000 IPL runs against PBKS and thus became the first-ever batter in the history of the tournament to do it against three opponents. He already did it against DC and CSK.

Rajat Patidar (55 off 23) and Cameron Green (46 off 27) also played crucial knocks after Punjab Kings' stand-in captain Sam Curran won the toss and opted to bowl first. Chasing the mammoth target, PBKS were bowled out for 181 in 17 overs.
 
CSK should be eliminated in the league stage itself. This should be the ploy for other teams... They (like Australia - the yellow power) are dangerous in knockouts!
 
Poor captaincy by Ruthuraj.. he didn't try Mo & Rachin when everyone is travelling..
 
I think the innings slowed down a bit, as they both approached centuries... They could have easily got 280, and even reached 300 somehow...
