He does that in international too lol SO he is taknig it easy there? As i said he has that type of action. When he finds swing he is doubly dangerous. He can effortlessly clock 145 kph

Who Is Angkrish Raghuvanshi: Former U-19 World Cup Star Setting IPL 2024 On Fire For KKR

Kolkata Knight Riders found a new star in youngster Angkrish Raghuvanshi as the 18-year-old slammed a half-century in just 25 deliveries during the IPL 2024 match against Delhi Capitals on Wednesday. The young batter came out to bat at No. 3 for KKR and ended up hitting 5 boundaries and 3 sixes in an extremely impressive knock. He looked completely at ease against the DC bowlers and even stitched together a massive 104-run partnership with Sunil Narine. He made his IPL debut in KKR's last match against Royal Challengers Bengaluru where he was the impact player for his side.

Raghuvanshi moved to Mumbai from Gurgaon at the age of 11 to pursue cricket and he had a tremendous campaign at the 2022 U-19 World Cup. He opened the innings and ended up scoring 278 runs in a campaign which ended with their side becoming champions under Yash Dhull's captaincy.

Raghuvanshi made his List A and T20 debut for Mumbai in 2023 and he was extremely impressive in the CK Nayudu Trophy where he ended up scoring 765 runs in just 9 matches. He was picked by KKR at base price in the 2024 auction and his childhood coach Abhishek Nayar is part of the team's support staff.

Sunil Narine produced a six-hitting exhibition en route to a blistering 85 while young Angkrish Raghuvanshi scored a fifty on his IPL batting debut as Kolkata Knight Riders posted an imposing 272 for seven against Delhi Capitals.

Continuing his explosive run, Narine punished all Delhi bowlers alike, sending the ball over the boundary rope seven times. He also hit seven fours in his 39-ball stay.

The Capitals were guilty of dropping him on 53 and Narine made his opponents suffer as he notched his highest-ever score in T20 cricket.

Raghuvanshi (54 off 27 balls), who didn't get to bat in his first IPL match against Royal Challengers Bengaluru, also fired on all cylinders, complementing Narine as the pair shared an explosive 104-run stand off 48 balls.

Andre Russell (41 off 19 balls) and Rinku Singh (26 off 8 balls) provided the final flourish to KKR.

It was a forgettable performance by the Delhi bowlers as they conceded the highest total in the team's history. KKR hit as many as 18 sixes and 28 fours.

For me main interest in the IPL is exposure of young talents. From that perspective good IIPL. Mayank, Parag coming of age, Angkrish,
 
Some of these IPL attacks are almost as bad as the Pakistan attack that got wrecked by Finn Allen

Kolkata didn't have to use Harshit Rana so effectively won 11 v 12 by more than a 100 runs. That's as dominant as it comes

Narine blasted 85 in a mere 39 balls while the 18-year-old Raghuvanshi smashed his way to 54 off 27 deliveries, as the DC bowlers ran for cover. Andre Russell blazed away to 41 in just 19 balls while Rinku Singh made 26 in eight balls, continuing KKR's dominance through the innings.

KKR has absolutely dominated DC. Winning a game by more than 100 runs is not a joke in T20s. Having a good time KKR.
 
During the post-match presentation ceremony, Rishabh Pant explained the DRS mishap that occurred during the DC vs KKR clash:

"I think it was quite loud here. At the same time, couldn't see the timer on the screen. There was some problem on the screen. But there are some things you can control, some things you can't."

He's not a good bat but more often than not he did give his team brisk start.. completely useless outside powerplay..
 
2 simple dropped catches today in the billion dollar league. They have already surpassed the PSL for the number of dropped catches in half the games. What is going on here parosioan?

Fatigue, most likely.

Domestic schedule had barely any gaps + travelling . International players were also playing non stop .
 
Good entertaining game. Gujrat Titans should have won this given the position they were in.

Adding on to this,

They played Deodhar and Duleep in June and July .

Some played Irani Cup in October .

From mid October till IPL, they were playing Vijay Hazare , Syed Mushtaq Ali and Ranji Trophy.

And now a 2 month IPL

Some of these guys are playing nearly 10 months in the year with some Ranji matches having only 3 day gap (with travelling )

Its an absolutely punishing schedule.

Shashank Singh and (impact sub) Ashutosh Sharma engineered a miraculous turnaround for the visitors to post a three-wicket victory over Gujarat Titans in the match 17 of Tata IPL at Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad on Thursday.

Earlier in the evening, Punjab Kings began their chase of 200 vs Gujarat Titans. Power play was a disaster for the visitors. First, Gujarat Titans got the big wicket of PBKS skipper Shikhar Dhawan. Umesh Yadav got rid of Dhawan for juts 1 run. Disappointment was written large on Dhawan’s face. Second to go was Jonny Bairstow. And third wicket was the most promising batter for Punjab – Prabhsimran Singh. GT were dominating the game but Shashank Singh came at the backend to steal the spotlight from GT in an iconic win for PBKS.
 
Impact sub rule has defiinitely increased the scores. In many scenarios they were the one who pushed the total above par.
 
As per media reports, Kuldeep Yadav has been advised rest as a precautionary move, but there is no confirmation yet on when he will be ready to play again.

If Unadkat is playing ahead of Umran Malik, it means Umran's stocks have fallen off a cliff.
 
MSD hiding behind every lower order batsman. He is just a specialist captain who scores meaningless runs with the bat. Has been this way since 2016.
