According to this, we won't get a 2/3rd majority government, so we will need to gain cross-bench support on the creation of new provinces.

The "women" thing should be above the province headers, it's for women reserved seats.

If PTI makes South Punjab province. Will there be a separate south Punjab assembly? Will there be separate chief ministers? PTI will probably not be able to form government in North Punjab if that's the case.

Yup, separate Assembly and everything. They may not be able to form government in Punjab if they create a South Punjab, but it will certainly be the right thing to do.

PPP can help us om creation of new province.

True, it depends on if they agree to the proposal. From what I have read, PPP want to create South Punjab on an ethnic and cultural grounds, and may not support PTI making it on administrative grounds? Not sure honestly.

This is a conundrum. PTI can't afford to let PMLN hold Punjab in any way now, if they want to sweep in 2023.

Don't think making South Punjab will be something instantaneous. It is going to have to go through the NA, Senate (I think), and Punjab Assembly multiple times, and then there is a HUGE amount of logistical work.

I don't even expect it to go through this term, it'll only get through the NA, and the Senate after 2021. Punjab Assembly is difficult, and even after passing there, it is a couple years of work. PTI will probably do it in their next term. Even if they manage pass it through Punjab assembly this term, it won't be done until the very end of the term.

Another thing is that the whole block of MNAs and MPAs that joined PTI before the election did so because of this South Punjab issue. If PTI don't make an effort towards forming South Punjab, it'll disgruntle all of them and a lot of voters in South Punjab. There's no telling what would happen in that situation, they may even turn to PPP, who also have South Punjab on their agenda. Don't think it's wise to leave it to the next election, even if it means giving Punjab CM'ship going to PML-N for a year or two after the new province is made.

Guys question, Imran Khan is going to eventually have to let go 4 NA seats. Is it possible that Dr. Yasmin Rashid, Nadeem Chan, and Ghulam Abbas to run from those seats? (Or whoever else from PTI that has lost).

I really want Dr. Yasmin Rashid in the government.

There is no difference between the boundaries in a province created on ethnic or administrative groups, it is different flavoring to appeal to different types of peoples. The consensus is that the province will include Bahwalpur division, Multan Division, DG Khan Division + 2 districts of Sargodha Division.

It is possible, but not sure if they would win from those seats considering they aren't from those places? Also, I think Yasmin Rashid got into the Punjab Assembly on a reserved seat.

Ok thanks, was wondering what that was about. The PPP manifesto really emphasised on that for some reason.

I think the Miawali seat is in the bag for PTI, especially if IK goes there and does a campaign jalsa saying to support Dr. Yasmin Rashid.

If MQM joins PTI in NA, then if Imran Khan lets go of the Karachi seat, then MQM might not field a candidate there, PTI can bring in someone..I think Nadeem Chun would be a good choice here. With IKs support he can win.

Don't think IK should let go of the Lahore seat because if he does, PTI will definitely lose this seat. Nothing against Karachi, even though I wish it was possible for him to keep the Karachi seat, I just feel we would lose the seat in Lahore...what do you guys think?

The Bannu and Islamabad seats, don't know who can run there and definitely win for PTI?

If they let go of Karachi, they can also field Nadeem Godil. I am just worried that we won't see the same turnout if a bye election happens. Very senior and respected former MQM member. Not only is he from Karachi, NA-243 is his halqa.

Bad idea to field candidates who are not from that constituency in by elections. You are giving opponents an easy propaganda tool.

I just feel really bad for Chun, the guy truly deserves to be in the NA.

Aleem Khan should keep his PA seat, hoping he can become CM. I don't know who PTI is currently considering for CM candidate?

Imran Khan did it, I guess he can since he is a national leader.

Who else can PTI have run in those seats and win?

I think it is acceptable for National Leaders, but people won't be so receptive to, for example, Chan running in Karachi.

Well if he leaves NA-243 in Karachi, Rashid Godil (I said Nadeem before lol) is the best choice. In Islamabad, I think PTI had 3-4 choices for this seat, which was the main reason Imran Khan ran here? Lahore could be Waleed Iqbal? Mian or Waseem might know better. Not sure about Bannu to be honest.

Any updates on Punjab PA? Are we at 100% count yet? Really really hoping we can form a government there as well. Don't want to see Shahbaz/Hamza Sharif as a CM anymore or anyone from PMLN in this case.

Still quite a few seats counting I think, but it's very close.

Shahbaz Sharif may leave his NA seat. A chance to grab another one from Lahore is possible.

PMLN has 125 seats compared to PTI's 124 in Punjab, according to 92 News.

That is VERY close, PML-N don't have a strong case to the have first shot at forming government now IMO. Its pretty much equal, and PTI are already taking federal government too, so they may even have a stronger case now.

Did he contest on a PP seat? Not sure if it's a good bet to leave though, PTI look like they will form Punjab government with independents.

Of course, he wanted the option of chief Minister on the chance of getting a majority in Punjab but not in centre.

Some analysts were saying Shahbaz will decide to stick to Punjab assembly and give leader of opposition role to Khwaja Asif

Yeah man.

I just hope 92 News is accurate here lol

Yo guys on election of pakistan website, pti is at 109 NA seats wise. Thats bad man, 120 would have been nice. Also in punjab pmnl at 127 while pti 117

7 PTI seats in Karachi not announced yet. 1 in Balochistan too. There are also a few in Punjab. Should be up around 120 once that's all done.

Thanks buddy it was fun having you all here we had some really good conversations and i felt like a bethak wala maahol and thanks to mods too for all their work! To add to what others above have said, you can add Sheikh Rasheed and PML-Q’s seats(not sure if they’ve won any NA seats).

Then you can virtually add five seats to PTI’s tally.Add to that the independents out of which 18 are confirmed to join, according to Geo.

Only 11 independents have won in the national assembly.

If you are talking about provincial assembly, then PML Q has won 7 seats according to Dunya News.

PMLN saying that they let PTI form assembly in KP and so they should honour people vote in Lahore and let them set up the assembly in Lahore.

What a load of **!!! Difference is that PMLN leader is in jail and they are corrupt.
PMLN should be told to go and stuff themselves.

Congrats to all PPers on holding a successful general election in your country - hopefully this augurs well for the future and we will have a stable and peaceful pakistan. :)

the Great Khan

Congratulations bhai, Aftab bhai won his seat :)

alhumdullilah the real mubarak goes to aftab bhai and his family. And to all the workers who defeated the ethno facists of the Mqm..

Humble family from very humble beginnings. They used to live in a one room house, 5-6 kids, parents..etc..eventually dragged themselves out of that and fought their way up..by the time I came to my senses they were doing relatively better but still only lived in a three bed flat..there were ten of them..lol..

really happy for them

Recount delayed in NA73. Khawaja didn't arrive while Dar reached so now it will happen at 2:30

So Hamza is contacting PMLQ and PPP to make govt in Punjab and he is threatening that if we are not allowed to govern Punjab "to hum dekh lenge sabko"

114 seats of PTI are confirmed by ECP results are still pending on 10 seats so lets see how many more PTI get

PTI to get around 25 Women and 5 Minority seats in NA based on our current numbers but i think if Ind join we will get more a few more based on increase numbers.

So APC is happening in a day or two and MQM is sending Farooq Sattar they will be part of APC

What !!!! Mian ary says pti Ab gonna make coalition with ppp.

Not coalition they asked for support i think in electing PM but their support is not that important we are not in a desperate situation

PTI already thinking on the name of 4 Governors. Wow just heard we won 2 NA seats from balochistan not 1 lol and that too without IK having any jalsa there and there were lot of issues between Rind and Pukhtun leadership of PTI

Not coalition they asked for support i think in electing PM but their support is not that important we are not in a desperate situation
if they make coalition then i done with pti. But good news is that they straight away denied by Naeemul haq.

Islamabad NA-53 was in a total mess Ilyas Meherban vs Ali Awan vs Kayani within PTI so IK himself contested because of these groupings and Kayani moved to NA61 but now we will have to accommodate Zafar Ali Shah and Babar Awan too lol so there are going to be more issues all of them are from Islamabad.

A lesson for all of us in this... truth will always triumph over falsehood.

There were times when I had started to lose hope but something kept me going , something kept telling me that it's happening this time and it did happen eventually. As a Kashmiri from the other side of he border I hv hated every moment of nawazs govt. Pakistan has lost a lot of ground in last 10 years in occupied Kashmir and a lot of kashmiris are almost on the brink of giving up on pakistan. Now,it's on the great Khan to provide a new lease of life to Kashmir cause , I know it's not going to be easy but I m firm believer of the fact that a strong Pakistan is in the best interest of Kashmir. At least, the reign of terror and killing spree that india has unleashed on us might stop a bit sincd nawaz had given India a free hand in Kashmir. I expect things to become better for us soon In sha Allah. Even, if Khan fails us Kashmiris he will still be my ideal, my inspiration , my kaptaan... I just hope and pray that he doesn't fail Pakistan.

It's gonna be a very difficult drive because of the mess Pakistan is right now thanks to last 10 years govt of PPP and PMLN but i am hoping things will get better slowly slowly and i hope Khan don't ignore Kashmir issues like Nawaz govt and stand with them in all these difficult times. Hoping for the best bro!

So what do you guys consider the biggest upsets in terms of seats this election.

For me it's a toss up between:

Bilawal losing Lyari.
Khaqan Abbasi losing Muree..

MQM losing Azizabad to PTI and Achakzai losing against an unknown PTI leader are shocking too

So Hamza is contacting PMLQ and PPP to make govt in Punjab and he is threatening that if we are not allowed to govern Punjab "to hum dekh lenge sabko"

lol these old style yaarian are not gonna work..shows how desperate the mafia is..I hope we form a govt and we hammer the rest of these badmaash!!

New khichri in race for Punjab government. One report saying independents will join pmlq

JKT just called Khalid Maqbool of MQM to be a coalition partner with PTI in federal and a meeting is expected soon.

That's expected chaudheries are smart politicians and people trust them more than PMLN while PTI is new for many.

Khans international presence should help with Kashmir..imagine him answering the usual stupid one dimensional questions from the western press..lol..cant wait for that..
