I think the lights at GSL is not good, you can barely see the crowed. Also the crowed seats are far from the boundry. Sixes barely reaches them. I hope they fix the infrastructure of other grounds also. None of the grounds in pakistan seems to be international level.

I agree it doesn't seem too bright in the stadium and the atmosphere isn't as electric as a full house should be.

The Crowd seem to be too far away from the action in the middle.

tbh the lighting is very outdated as well but yes you are correct that the coverage is from decades ago which makes it look worse.

Lights are there from early 90's, old tech. - I recall reading Sethi's comments a few months back that one of the use of the revenue to be generated from PSL and revival will be to update the lights in Lahore and Karachi. One step at a time guys one step...after all we only have one Najam Sethi

I'm not saying it isn't. They are still using rollers from 1985 FGS.

Not most, I'd argue pretty much every division one college. Countries like Australia, USA, etc. have sporting cultures with billions of dollars pumped into leagues. Pakistan and India have only just got a taste of league culture so it's understandable. Another 15-20 years and they should become comparable somewhat.

Also you have to consider the workmanship of poor, third-world countries such as India and Pakistan to developed nations.They have certified skilled workers in every damn field whereas our folks just learn on the job.It would take some decades to reach at that level.

This is a major Issue and needs to be fixed before the next PSL matches. People who watches on television rates the quality based on that. If HD cameras are added this 'll make the ground looks more beautiful.

As a civil engineer I can tell you that's not how it works.

You have to relay the entire foundation because the soil underneath might not be able to support the load.

It's easier to build a new stadium elsewhere

well in the 80's and 90's PTV had some of the best coverage going. So its not like they cant do it. They can but lets take things one step at a time. For ten years we haven't had cricket in the country so why would the PCB spend millions of rupees upgrading stadiums that would fall into quick disrepair soon after. Lets get cricket going in the country first then move to upgrading.

Agreed, also need to get better TV Coverage of the matches as well. Oh and they should try to make the capacity back to around or over 60K if they do an overhaul.

We have just started with league and investments into these things,give it time,PRO Kabbadi is doing well and with each state having its own cricket league,IPL will up its standards hopefully,esp with Star getting the rights now.

US was having league on tv when most of India was on radio,so not fair comparison,Aus though has always been on diff level,even BBL is amazing,and it always has been,the ones calling the shots on live TV(which camera to pick the live) predict the best as to turn where in Aus,unlike any other cricket live telecast.

I'd agree. The quality of cameras were poor. Picture was blurry and ill toned. They were shaking badly, people were coming in way, they had very little sense how to cover the event. Even in the press conference of ICC +PCB heads, you can see the shakes and blurred faces.

Thats horrible by the broadcasting team. I really pray they take it seriously like PSL.

i still remember watching the bangalore test match and the coverage from across the border was pretty bad. Compared to the test matches at home. e.g. bowling out the windies for 50 odd etc etc..

Quite baffling to be honest. I understand the fact that the people who are responsible for implementing the DRS were not willing to come, but surely, the PCB could have arranged speed cameras.

This is why we need a new modern stadium in at least the bigger cities in Pakistan.
