Pro Bats

Yeah I noticed that Srikanth as wearing these spikes as well and I really loved the look of them, but it doesn't look like they are on sale yet.:(

THere you go a SS, Afridi seem to love SS and always use them.

Look at the thickness of the blade! Oh God!! Massive!!
 
And the pads are MIDs right? I think Afridi is not too bothered about his kit. As someone mentioned on other foru he was wearing 3 or 5 different helmets at the world cup. I have seen Afridi use BDM, Malik bats. AS Sports claim they also supply a few of his bats from time to time.

Those pads are not Afridi's they are Mohammad Hafeez pads. I think in nets he just wears what he finds in front of him but bats are always his.

If you closely see his world cup bats you can probably notice that he was using SS bat(s).

As far brands of bats is concerned every player use various brands bat no one has used one brand bat throughout there career.
 
Everything is ok but what is the position he is standing after hitting the shot he really need some help from Javed Bhai :d

Do you think that afridi's has always used SS bats under the stickers of She-Amin and Babarsher and now Boomboom?

I wouldn't say he always used SS bats but I have seen him using SS bats with Sher Amin stickers for Bubber Sher I don't know.

From what I am seeing everytime he comes from India I think he bring few bats along himself. The time he used Sher Amin stickers on SS bat was during India's tour and when coming from India.

difficult to analyse anything from the pic. it could have been taken at any time. look at how far he is from the crease.
 
From what I can see I would say he came down the track and smashed it straight because you can see his front foot is pointing towards pitch of the ball (assuming) so he might have lost his balance and brought his back leg on side.

Of course he has been playing international cricket for 16 years now and he knows a lot a lot more than us about everything.

Yeh, I'm with CD bhai on this one. It looks like he advanced down the track and hit the ball straight, then lost his balance.
 
yeh i know he needed one and his bros KA's bat is almost ruined and every series he uses a different model
 
Everyone loves SS bats, its not just Afridi, nearly all of Pakistani team has used SS bats with their sponsors stickers. Abt 70% of players in WC were using SS Ton bats.

Not sure he can be sued unless he names a player sponsored by someone else. Although it is daft to state something where zero proof exists.

You're right in that many players were using SS bats as per the branding on the edges. I wouldn't say 70%, but a substantial amount of Asian players, yes.

Nobody can be sued for speculating on a public forum.
 
Yeah can prove it, plenty of pictures on the net of many players using SS bats with their own sponsors labels, and I've seen players using SS bats with my own eyes.

I agree with Sempresami there are lots of people who makes such false claims without having any proof at all but when I make such claim I usually always have full proof.

If someone was threatening to sue, it was nothing more than a scare tactic. Push them and see if they'll actually take action. Unlikely.
 
SempreSami bro, you must have surely seen a GM player use SS bats when he played in IPL. I know few others but I dont like giving names.
 
I'm aware of a certain Essex player doing it, but that's ONE player in one poxy tournament two years ago, and since then he's been using GM and only GM.

this new SS bat has different profile then the rest looks nice the only SS bat i like i hate their shape

Whats your point mate? Tail ender's bats are still made form finest quality and they get good bats from manufacture.
 
you can clearly see the Catalyst stickers... it is a GM. players these days get bats from a lot of manufacturers. so it won't be surprising if he has used newbery as well

What is he actually telling people to do?

His bottom hand is to use a tennis description too western, it should be more continental.

Most of the shots show the bottom hand coming through, might be useful for more power, but what about control and placement?
 
I think Gambhir is using an Apex :O, I saw the outline of it on his MRF bat.

But the weird thing is, the shape and profile didn't look anything like the Apex's.

I would post a picture, but it's not on Cricinfo, and there's all that stuff about legal issues with copying images off gettyimages.

Yeh, that, may well be the case, seems the only likely scenario, because as far as I can remember, no player in KKR is sponsored by GM.

Hmmmmm, I just looked on gettyimages and spotted that to. He probably changed his bat midway through his innings.

However, it shows that he is probably still sponsored by GN, since he was using the new Evo.
 
It's also worth pointing out that Varun Chopra there's scored consecutive double centuries in the County Championship, talk about form! He's also the first Warwickshire player to achieve this feat.
 
I never heard about him before his double hundred in the first game.

Was he playing last year for the Bears?
 
I'm pretty sure that Chopra was at Warwickshire last season, he joined from Essex after his career had stalled.

He's scored more runs in two matches this season than he did in eighteen last season, so it would be nice to see a player build on promise.

Do you think he'll get selected for England if he keeps up this form? Maybe come in to replace Colly?
 
Not sure, the selectors already seem set in their ways with someone like Morgan coming in or even giving Bopara another shot because he can bowl a bit.

Also, as SS mentioned, he used a Powerbow in that innings as well.

I seriously don't understand Yousuf Bhai's tactic :)

I mean how can he use two different shape bats in a innings!?! That Powerbow is real Powerbow shape while Evo he used looked Evo..

CD bhai, MoYo's been using the Powerbow for as long as I can remember, don't you think that the bat would have lost it's ping after so long?
 
He has been using Powerbow since 2009 against Sri Lanka when he came back from ICL, so he has been using Powerbow since then but then they must have like 50 bats lol! :))

One thing I must add this Powerbow shape is ultimate and one of the best shape I have ever seen in my life! Trust me brilliant shape bro! I wish I could get hold of it..
 
Really?!? I had a Powerbow but it was a Blaze. :)) So it wasn't very good.

Yes bro its amazing! I love it to be honest! I wish I can get a bat of this same shape seriousyl! Unfortunately Gray Nicolls people have changed the shape and I don't find a logic behind it, it was amazing shape afterall!

I must say the edges on your bat look thicker than on his. :))

Apart from that though, I agree the profile looks awesome. You don't find it too bottom heavy though do you? Also what model is it and do you still use it?
 
Edges are very thin I must say, but this bat is the most powerful bat I have ever owned! The ping right now is amazing! I do use it and I used it a month ago because balls were new in the nets so didn't want to risk any of my new bat so used it and this is brilliant.

Nahi nahi bhai this bat is not bottom heavy at all! It is 2.7lbs and believe me it picks soo much lighter and I really like it.

It is Powerbow 3 Star and it was the first bat I bought according to my will!
