Ousmane Dembélé struck inside four minutes to spark an engrossing, tightly fought first leg in London. The 27-year-old's eighth goal of the current Champions League campaign gave Paris their first-ever win against Arsenal at the sixth attempt (D3 L2). "We suffered a lot," admitted Luis Enrique, whose team ended Arsenal's 17-match unbeaten run in European home games to edge closer to a first final since 2020.

The Gunners responded well after a difficult opening period, settling into the contest and forcing Gianluigi Donnarumma into action when Gabriel Martinelli and Leandro Trossard were sent through on goal.

History is not on their side as they eye a second-leg turnaround – Arsenal never previously recovering from a first-leg home defeat in Europe (five attempts) – but coach Mikel Arteta remains defiant. "We're going to have to do something special in Paris," he said, with a place in the club's first Champions League final in 19 years up for grabs.

I'm in the minority but I think Arsenal can and will go through

In the second leg against Villa we saw a vulnerability to PSG, it just requires Arsenal to poke at it and think they'll get some joy out of it

As a neutral if the game is half as good as yesterday I'll take that

Extra time ?

Energy is key.

Also for arsenal dont worry if out of possession, keep organised and patience . If arsenal reach the final from here , it will be historic

Two dead and hundreds arrested in France after PSG Champions League win

Two people were killed and hundreds arrested across France following chaotic celebrations after Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) won their first-ever Champions League title. In Dax, a 17-year-old was fatally stabbed, while in Paris, a 23-year-old scooter rider died in a traffic collision. Across the country, fans celebrated passionately, but violence marred the occasion with flares, fireworks, looting, and vehicles set ablaze. The French interior ministry reported 559 arrests—491 in Paris alone—and 192 injuries, including to police and firefighters. Authorities emphasized that much of the violence came from individuals not interested in the match, seeking only to cause disorder.

Despite the unrest, a parade celebrating PSG’s 5-0 victory over Inter Milan is set to proceed, with tightened security. Paris police prefect Laurent Nuñez promised a strong response to any further disturbances, distinguishing true fans from opportunistic vandals. Shops on the Champs-Élysées were looted, several vehicles torched, and riot police used water cannons and tear gas to control crowds. French President Emmanuel Macron praised PSG’s achievement, while Interior Minister Bruno Retailleau condemned the violence, calling it an insult to genuine supporters. In Grenoble, a car incidentally injured four PSG fans, though authorities believe it was not intentional. The victory parade will conclude at the Arc de Triomphe, followed by a ceremony at the Élysée Palace and a final celebration at Parc des Princes.
