I don’t know if extra revenue will be given or not, hope for PCB’s sake they get it. No issues there.

On a lighter note: Pachaas rupya kaato overacting ka lol. Could have agreed this a week ago and closed the drama.

Good marketing is always there but product matters. whats the product here? a league where foreign players ( top draw ) play .. Otherwise BCCi arranges syed Mushtaq Trophy and Ranji Trophy too at their soil.. wonder how much BCCI gets for that?

And ICC tournament matters because India gets to play with other teams that can compete the living daylights out of them in Tournaments..and that gets Indian Public and by Extension Broadcasters going who want to cash in on the eyeballs.. but Indian posters will tell you that money is because of BCCI and sone God level marketing by BCCi 😂😂😂😂

Pakistan won’t visit India if India doesn’t visit Pakistan, and there’s also the matter of increasing the revenue share.

This has been his stance from the start, and he mentioned it in a video interview three days ago.

But this strategy has never worked, a decade of ICC trophy drought, topped by the global humiliation of India in 2023 WC final.

Who can forget those scenes, the so called leader of India, couldn't string a word of English, shaking, only for his the fireworks and drones to be reprogrammed congratulating no one in the end!

Pakistan administrators sorry to say this lack any vision. Most know they are here only temporarily so try to get ans much attention and traction before it ends. that’s it. After all this drama basically, in the end they agreed to what BCCI/ICC asked, however created enough nuisance for BCCi/ICC to take measures to avoid these kind of headaches in the future which may not really be beneficial to PCB.

Original stance was they wouldn't compromise with a hybrid model and wouldn't sell out etc.

Are Indian sponsors representative of BCCI or INDIAN GOVT ? AT LEAST BE LOGICAL. U should think that why Pakistan has no companies that can sponspor an ICC tournament that is being dictated by Indian sponsors and broadcasters. And this is happening when cricket is the most followed game in Pak and it has a bigger population that ENG AND AUS.

Let's see . PCB are still negotiating. A token 1 % increase in ICC revenue and that may not even be from India's share

which share its from is nt the point. there could be one time lump sump deal of 20 million.. 1% increase means 6-7 Million $ additional income annually for next 7 years..

1. It’s only fair that if India doesn’t visit Pakistan, then Pakistan doesn’t visit India either, which is why there’s a firm stance against the hybrid model.


2. Everything will be on paper.


3. This is where you’re missing the point: it’s about an increase in revenue along with the hybrid model, ensuring Pakistan doesn’t visit India if India doesn’t visit Pakistan.

As I said before, PCB accepting hybrid trophy means Pakistan is accepting the following:

1. Without India there can never be a profitable ICC tournament. This means cricket is India and India is cricket.
2. Accepting India's stance that Pakistan harbours terrorists and India can't visit there due to security threats.

Pakistan will not get any hybrid model for future ICC events that will take place in India. If they think BCCI will allow India to travel outside to play Pakistan or host playoffs/finals in another country, they are living in fools world. Naqvi knows this as well but it is just a face saving effort as he know he will not be PCB head by the time those tournaments come.

See, I told you guys... eventually, the PCB will bend. Just yesterday, they said no to the hybrid model. Then came the hybrid model with some conditions. Now, they’ve accepted playing with the hybrid model.
Meanwhile, some Pakistani fans here were chest-thumping over Naqvi’s denial of the hybrid model, blah blah... It was just a matter of hours, lol. :ROFLMAO:

If anyone believes that BCCI accept and follows the above conditions, they must be living in a fool’s paradise. Even Pakistani fans and Naqvi know this, but they’re just doing some bhangra!:LOL:

Basically, India will co host T20 WC 2026 and WC 2031. So Pak will play all their league games outside India except the match vs India where they will forced to visit Ahmedabad. Also, if they qualify for Semi finals or final, they will have to come to India. This was the same model followed in 2011 WC as well. However, chances are next years Asia cup may move to UAE only bcoz BCCI not that keen on hosting it anyway.

If the powerful BCCI can’t show some backbone, how can you expect a so called non-profitable board like the PCB to do so? Yet, they are still trying. Hosting the tournament was their rightful claim, and so far, they have stood their ground admirably. :inti

Do you really think Naqvi will agree to the hybrid model without the assurance backed by some sort of legal documentation by the ICC in the presence of other board members.

Does ICC want to face similar drama for future ICC events?

BCCI is sticking to its stance isn't it? That is not sending its players to play in Pakistan.

PCB should also have stuck to their stance as well of no hybrid model.

Then there would have been a deadlock and we could have seen how far this can go.

If they accept hybrid model now after giving so many big statements like Sar kata lenge par jhukenge nehi etc. will be epic humiliation.

Its due to money. PCB will make around 100 million for hosting this tournament in a hybrid model. They obviously couldn't ignore it. I think after initial hollow threats PCB started thinking along with the lines of @Savak

It's victory for pakistan when india also has to play all their tournaments in hybrid model. Pakistan has only gained but its a loss for India.

India is already having a "hybrid" model for 2026 WT20 where Sri Lanka are the co-hosts. Basically they accepted it for some chump change as we all predicted. :ROFLMAO:

We are not co hosting 2026 or champions trophy or the world cup with India.

That's 3 tournaments you have to play in hybrid model and if Pakistan reaches finals they will also be in hybrid model so 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣

These are ICC events, not some bilateral Paytem trophy. India's job is to host the event. ICC will decide the venues.

2/3 tournaments are already on sharing basis with Bangladesh/Srilanka anyways. Thoda to research kar lo bhai.
