Dravid is a stunning player, but in Tests. I wouldn't have him in an ODI XI, especially not over the likes of Afridi. When you've already to got a starstudded lineup, why?

Murali strikes again .Katich the only set batsmen is out after a fine knock .The Danger Man Symonds is still there .He can take away the game anytime ,hope Murali or Akthar get's him out quickly . For Murali this is the best time to prove to the Aussies his quality and class as a bowler .

Nah, I want Symonds to go on and blast the bowling all over the park. We need to the Aussies to go and set something around 300 to give the World XI something to chase with their batsman-heavy lineup
 
Vettori gets one now - superb bit of bowling, holding one back just a touch and getting a caught and bowled.

As long as Mcgrath is there , chasing a score of 300 is quite risky .The World XI team has better balance and strength than the Aussies but then Mcgrath can more than compensate for that .Wolrd XI has to win this match to score a psycological edge over the Aussies .So I wish the World XI finishes off the Aussie innings as quickly as possible and then finish their target also much earlier . But as long as Symonds is there ,we cant take it easy .
 
I just finsihed posting the earlier thread and Clarke is out to Vettori .Aussies 5 wickets down .
 
I couldn't give a toss who wins, I just want to be entertained and for that I want to see the Aussies set a massive total and we can see the World XI really get after McGrath and Brett Lee
 
Flintoff is getting smashed and has proved very expensive .Hope now they stop him and the remaining overs are shared by Murali , Vettori , Shoaib and Pollock .

Thank God ,the danger man Symonds has been removed . Congrats World XI , finish off the Aussies tail quickly and restrict them to a score of less than 250 .I need to see you guys winning comprehensively and not in tense last over cliffhanger finishes .
 
Decent and very fast bowling by Shoaib. Great to see him charging in and bowling thuderbolts like that. "Super Freddie" seems a shadow of himself sadly.

Shoaib definately had a hand in that last wicket, built up the pressure by not giving away boundaries, hence the aussies trying to target vettori and falling cheaply

Don't look at his figures he has bowld well, his first spell was very good. Mostly the 2nd spell of any bowler will go for some runs especialy at the death. The plus point was he bowled 9 overs with some pace touching 150 k !

Yes, that's the true spirit for a world XI isn't it?

That's probably the worst spell I've seen Fred bowl all year, although as long as he doesn't get injured I don't care what he bowls. Although I'd hardly say he got "smashed" apart from the one over.

Akhtar looked ok and shouldn't be written off yet but he did seem to sag after his initial spell. Vettori was very impressive and the Aussies certainly seemed very unsure against him, he even managed to get Pietersen to catch one!

I want to see how Bracken does now, I haven't seen him bowl in a while.

Freddy and Shoaib bowled good spells early on...later on to be whacked in the slog overs. Afridi would have bowled well seeing that the spinners got turn.

Do we need Sehwag? He is a crap batsmen, crap bowler and Gayle is a better fielder, mind you Gayles record in Australia is quite stellar seeing how he performed last time.

Kallis will take his time in getting double figures, as will Dravid. This is why Inzy's exclusion is a bit surprising. Kallis and Dravid together............you'll wake up to Iftar.
 
Sehwag shud be replaced by gayle for the next game, but i doubt that will happen, considering Gavaskar is in charge.
 
Kallis is playing so slowwwwwwww, like slower than Dravid, get on with the game they are being over-cautious

Wonder why not Shoaib?
 
DId Glen McGrath just flip off Kallis? Shouldn't he be punished if Shoaib was(to paul adams)?

The fielding captain has three powerplay's

1 block of 10 overs and 2 blocks of 5 overs. Fileding restrictions apply during these 20 overs. Only 2 players are allowed outside the ring.

The first 10 overs of the innings MUST have fileding restrictions, then the captain has to play 2 lots of 5 overs with fielding restrictions during the innings, they can be used at any time during the remaining 40 overs.
