Met him probably 10-11 years ago.
The lecture seemed to be going along pretty well, some interesting points were being raised, and out of nowhere he started talking bad about Sh Hamza Yusuf for no reason at all.

I doubt you have read much of Iqbal as this sheikh has, Sheikh imran considers Iqbal as his teacher but he disagrees with him on the opinion that the modern islamic state is an adequate replacement for the khilafa, Today Pakistan is proving Sheikh imran right and Muhammad iqbal wrong.

No he doesn't come across as one.
He was having a go at the Sheikh for changing his discourse post 9/11. From being more firebrand to a more relaxed teacher. I think that's a natural progression of a man while he grows up and matures. And there is wisdom in the way Sh Hamza handled it all.
Thought it was a low blow and completely uncalled for.
I don't like him at all. For some strange reason he is always hostile towards Pak and an eternal pessimist. It is people like him who are our problems as much as the Zionists. Dr Israr Ahmed is the one i like and respect. This guy is just full of anger and hate. Iqbal too was no seer or anything like that.
