What's new

South Africa beat Pakistan by 13 runs (DLS method) in the third ODI to take 2-1 series lead

How did his innings cost Pakistan the game, I thought Imam was taking you guys home. He's a class act, I wish we had an opener like him.

He didn't kept required run rate in check. We almost lost against Afghanistan due to similar approach. I will take Tamim over him in a heartbeat.

So, who is going to pick wicket? Will the thick brain of saifi work for once?

Blessed in all facets has lost his blessings in the facet of fielding.

SAF is well ahead of DWL per now. Normally DWL is quite reliable - after 30 overs mark, team ahead wins almost 85-90% games.

What rather than bowling Amir alongside Shaheen to create extra pressure, Shadab is still bowling. Kudos to the captain!

For that you need more stroke makers. Accumulators like Imam, Babar Malik waste a lot of deliveries on heavy batting tracks.

Also Pak's new ball pair is very poor.

Babar wasn't bad today in terms of strike rate i guess.
But yeah we are very mediocre in terms of both our bowling and batting with a couple of players shining here and there and that too inconsistently.
Not good enough.

This is the reason I do not want Pak to bat first on dead wickets. The opposition will always outscore us.

The only way to get accumulators like Imam, Babar, Malik to do less tuk tuking is to put them under pressure by chasing a score.

Only bat first when there is some good spin or swing available. Otherwise it's suicide with this unit.

Mike haysman is the worst commie to listen to when SA is doing well.

In England pitches will be flat. Sarfraz ,Malik ,Imam, and Hafeez type players won't get you anywhere.

The way Afridi :afridi is bowling in BPL, he can still play another 2 years and he is very hard to get away with. He needs to come back from retirement, so much better than Shadab

These are poor conditions to bowl in with a wet ball.
M amazed by the amount of wrist-slitting over here and lack of unterstanding of the game.

Even Holding picked up on it and put it down to inexperience but surely the fielding coach would have picked up on it by now.

At the boundary the way he ran and chased the ball to only see it go for 4 was:))

Ikr it's funny actually.

Guess with the way our bowling is going that's the only entertainment we are going to get.:(

It seems over tbh. Dussen and Miller to come 150 in 20 overs with wickets in hand is going to be easy

UK tracks suit our bowlers in general. But yea it's safer for Pak to chase.

At the least by chasing we stay in the game.

Oppositions will always outscore us on fast tracks.

The rain has not helped us at all . . unfortunate! The ball is skidding on really well on to the bat and spinners have been neutralized

Imam is class brother, when Tamim first came in he was averaging below 25, after given enough chances he delivered. Imam started with a bang and Inshallah with time he can get better. I see a future captain in him.

What we can do? we can't defend score above 300 and cant chase above 280.... and people expecting us to win WC

On flat pitches we will be beaten black and blue.

We need to turn games into 260/270 then we can beat anyone.

But if England have control of surfaces ,I don't see them producing those pitches as they will outbat anyone on flat pitches.

The fact most batsmen have score at more than a run a ball in this gsme so far shows how easy paced this wicket is.

List of players rising to stardom courtesy of Pakistan: Patel, Somerville, Olivier, Van der Dussen, Hendricks. Sweet.

ICC have control on pitches during their tournaments

SA dominating since the restart. The pressure was building on them but I think the break gave them a chance to cool off and get some respite. We just need to break this partnership and we are back in it though

What are the inner circle fielders doing? Giving away easy singles.
