A disappointing bowling day to say the least.
Lack of backup plans and poor bowling did not do us any favors on a pitch that was going to be flat from the get go.
I'd even say it got worse for spinners as the days went on.
Honestly, I won't be surprised if Pakistan lose from here. To see this team fight is a rare sight.
There is really no explanation as to why we are such an astoundingly horrible test team. We bring in domestic performers, they fail. We hope our best players perform, they fail. We tout our fast bowling and it fails. We make spinning tracks and they don't spin.
We need a break from test cricket, it only serves to shatter our confidence even more.
Get better data analysts, and start playing modern test cricket. You don't have Wasim Akram and Waqar Younis bowling for you that you can be relaxed, you have some 19 year old wonderkid who's exhausted and a 26 year old generator who looks like he's out of electricity. Make plans, make backup plans, and make backup plans for your backup plans. Your preparation determines whether or not you win a test match nowadays, not the quality of your team nor the conditons. Look at England in India, they batted superbly because they analyzed the situation, they analyzed the pitch, and they learned how to play spin better.
Our search for a miracle to happen often ends up with our undoing, keep that in mind when watching Pakistan Cricket.
