Inzi would never expose No 11 on the first ball of the over.
That's cuz Inzi is playing for the team.

You have to say however good Tendulkar might be he's poor at batting with the tailenders. Giving strike to Unadkat off the first ball of the over that also against Steyn. Pretty poor stuff. He played out a maiden before sree's dismissal as well knowing fully well sree will have to face a full over.
One thing this match illustrates is no matter how much India talk up the rest of their team, they ride on the wings of Tendulkar. You take Tendulkar out of this team and they would struggle big time with belief.
Anyway, come on sun, let the Saffers deliver the pwnage!
to be fair he got 110* when the team needed him most, and tried to build partnerships
team player
Sachin doesn't wanna ruin his average by getting out...he wants unadkat to get out, watta selfish player.
Well played unadkat he took the single on the 5th ball to not expose sachin!
SA have won, SRT couldve atleast given the fans a bit of afridi like hitting.......
Sachin's hundred No.50 also scored in a losing cause. Thats more or so story of his centuries.
I was only pointing out one aspect of his batsmanship that he's not good at.
Batting with tail enders.
Sad to see Sachin's approach today. Should have been more positive since there wasn't much to loose. SA deserving winners, they must enjoy all they want till boxing day test match - after that this series is India's![]()
Top order batsmen often struggle to bat with tail-enders
The situation speaks more about two aspects of the Indian team. Partly about the failures of the other Indian batters, and also about the talent and staying power of SRT
Bit of a shame for the old head to show no interest in protecting the young lad at no.11, but you have to give credit where it is due, SRT compiled a gutsy and skilled hundred and is the only reason the team leaves the game with any ounce of pride.

what do you think that Sachin can alone block the entire 90+ overs today? that was just wishful thinking. the shielding argument make sense only when you are in to the last session or a heavy rain is imminent.Sad to see Sachin's approach today. I agree that SRT is head and shoulders above any other Indian batsman, but I would also note that SA can struggle to bowl out sides without Steyn firing. Teams often rely a lot on one or a few players, no matter how good the team as a whole is reputed to be.
He's worried about his average falling too far behind Kallis. Which would be humiliating considering he plays half his matches on Indian flat beds.
haha...i know this ....weak link ..Sorry M_Q.. Your Team Lost because of your Bowling is to weak to deal with SA batsman on SA pitches.,,, You guys need Zak back asap..
Right off to Durban where the leading wicket taker is Pakistani Imran Tahir this season. I hope they give him a run assuming his visa issues are sorted out.
Steyn gets 7 in the match
It is an interesting debate, how to play with a tailender at the other end. Steve Waugh had enormous success batting with the tail and he didn't shield them at all, just told them he had faith in them and to hang in there.
Congrats to the Saffers!

from me win Loss is part of the game ...I am still Happy with our 2nd Inning performances...![]()
Kallis debate aside, come on mate, after 1st innings you voiced some very valid criticisms of the Indian batters and their weaknesses on SA tracks, but fair play to SRT for coming up with a very commendable hundred, you can't have it both ways

India's score of 459 is the highest ever in an innings defeat.
i know inzamam doesn't come near to sachin as a player , but he used to fight till the end !
Really???
Thats a great news.. I like Imran Tahir..
