There were 2 men placed at the boundary for that shot. Wreckless to say the least by Amla. May prove very costly indeed.

S.A 109/3

India on top here and a few more wickets and they will really have an advantage in this game.

S.A 123/3

India need to get rid of Kallis here, hes the key man.

YaaaY ! Amla's gone. Unnecessary shot, I think.

Double Yaaay! that Shrisanth took his wicket. We (India) have started well.

Kisi ne gaur kiya hai ki shaadi ke baad Dhoni ke baal bilkul safed hue hain? :D He had captained the ODI, Test and T-20 and his IPL team for so long and showed nerves of steel. His hair could withstand all that. But he finally cracked after marriage :D

It was a pretty low key affair. Somewhere in the Himalayas attended by close friends only. I don't think anyone from the Indian team attended or was invited.

^^Im happy im not watching this match then. Not a good advert for cricket.

This is a dangerous partnership for India. Hope they post a big total.

Sree has got AB again.

Kallis has 50!

169/4 India can now attack S.A ouy of form lower/middle order.

Are india going to fluke another test series victory? I hope not coz they are minnow overseas and do not deserve to be number 1.

If SA can score around 400 then it will be tough ask for India.........

2 more wickets before close of play will swing the advantage in india's favor...1 more wicket...even stevens...no wicket-saffers slightly ahead

No wickets then SA will be way ahead. 250/4 will be great day for SA on green pitch with cloud cover.

whats a good score on this surface? Is the pitch bowler friendly even if its not overcast?

pitch will be best suited to bat on day 2 and 3...though it has a tinge of grass...it is batsmen friendly surface...350 is a par score

The ball is still doing something even now. 350 will be great score here.

S.A 221/4 - Game evenly balanced. India will look to get S.A for less than 300. S.A will be aiming for 350 atleast.

Guyz,
could some one tell me the condition of the pitch. Is it a flat track and what are the commentators saying what is the good score on this pitch

Kallis once again showing why he's the best batting allrounder of all time

Apparently 250 is a good Day 1 score on this pitch.350 is a good first innings score and the pitch favours bowling usually on the first day.

I thought that was clipping leg, a 50-50 decision and you either get them or you dont. Even UDRS wouldnt have got you that wicket :aleemdar

Of course it would have.. BCCI won't be endoring UDRS until it would favour India all the time. There will be an inquiry commitee.. here. Someone forgot to pay the umpire..

I am sorry to inform you my friend but it would NOT have been overturned, you dont have the basic understanding of the reveiw system it seems. When hawkeye is clipping bails or either side of leg/off stump, its termed as a 50-50 decision and appeal is refused. Meaning the decision made by the on-field umpire stands, whether it was out / not-out. Atleast more than 50% of the ball has to make contact with the stumps

look we're actually getting wickets with our slow bowlers :amir Sree is back in form.

I am sorry to say that you do not have basic understanding of how performance of Indian team is reviewed. No matter how well they play, ultimately it boils down to umpiring errors, pitch conditions, FTBs, bowlers unable to bowl fast.. I am just saving time for everyone here. Even when UDRS is implemented, people will moan that UDRS provider is on BCCI payroll.

BTW your 50-50 theory wasn't implemented in India/Sri lanka series. Those decisions went in Sri Lanka favour.

how many of the decisions which went against SA wer plumb ? anyway , no issues .

I'm not sure what are saying there, but if you are referring to the two lbw decision of Durban test of Boucher & De Villiers. Then Yes, both would've been overturned if they had UDRS facility as the ball was clearly missing the stumps in both cases
