3 first class matches and a call-up??? Australia that desperate?

His average is above 50 in those three first class matches as well. Desperate times indeed ... :asadrauf

We have won two of our last twelve tests, so yeah.

We go to fifth if we lose this, probably overtaken by Pakistan.

DRS rules need to be reviewed! that was really poor stuff!

SA 43/1 at moment.

Watto strikes! Averages 27 with the ball, how many bowlers are ahead of him now? Steyn of course and who?

If Amla was Pakistani there would be five threads calling for his head right now.

1(31)

Kallis overtakes Lara, moves to 4th behind Tendulkar, Dravid and Ponting.

I think Anderson 2008-present has an average of 27 and Swann's career average is a couple above that...but yes, good bowlers thin on the ground

but the facts are his career average of over 30 is ordinary

Kallis looks in awesome touch at the moment! and very postive!

Dont play the Zaheer Khan game Whippy, his average is his average.

So Steyn, Finn and Swan ahead of Watson and that is it? Wow

Watson injured. Sigh.

20.5 Johnson to Kallis, 1 run, this line is poor, on the pads yet again, Kallis stays back and clips behind square
20.4 Johnson to Kallis, 2 runs, short of a length delivery on the hips once again, Kallis stays back and plays through midwicket
20.3 Johnson to Kallis, 2 runs, short of a length on the pads, Kallis moves back and pushes the ball through midwicket, the fielder from deep square leg has to run a fair bit
20.2 Johnson to Kallis, no run, short of a length down leg side, Kallis moves across his crease to glance off the hips but can't connect

Once a donkey...

Kallis is striking at 133.33. Where are all the Kallizzzzzzzzzzzz comments now? :D

Lol MJ. 8.1 overs 1-40

Shocking bowler, please drop him from our side.

now thats perfect argument for the use of drs

inside edge and decision reversed..lbws are worst when its an inside edge

stuart broad got his hatrick in india series with the middle wicket lbw inside edged

no use of hot spot or any other technology..just a simple replay should be employed and 99% of the time you are able to tell

Wow 4 and 6 from Kallis in this over. Looks like he's trying to get Lyon out of the attack.

It's a bit of a South African tradition to go after our spinner.

Kallis did this to Hauritz last tour and McGain's career ended after one epic beating from all the batters.

MJ. Cummins and Watson were tight. Siddle too except his last over which was a bit unlucky. And they have 100+ up before lunch.

And Watson has a hammy so our best bowler, our form batsman and our best player all out injured. :(

Johnson bowls too short, every time he pitches it up he creates problems.

Siddle is the ugliest cricketer ever ... Kallis played a very good knock, though got carried away by his landmarks one after another.

South Africa 130/4

game back in balance now after S.A threatened to run away with it when kallis was in.
