SA has done well to neutralize new ball threat, couple of more overs of cautious batting and platform is set.

India might regret that drop from Ashwin. One of the main reasons why Australia were so dominant against England was because they held on to every damn chance that came their way.

Re read..

No one is perfect, so averaging 50+ or scoring a 300 has not got anything to do with a possible weakness..
Dravid too mentioned the same about Amla and short pitched bowling. Sounds a little more credible now, does't it ?

I guess we'll see how he goes with the short ball when MJ tours.

Would have loved the wicket of smith there, but atleast India have bowled tight and not let Sa run away here.

Slow but steady here by S.A. If they don't lose a wicket before Tea they must cash in the last session.

Indian bowlers look a little toothless here........ I don't understand how when the SA bowlers were bowling the 135km balls, it was zipping and speeding to and past the batsmen but when Indians bowl at that same speed it looks like the ball is coming on a lot lot slower lol...

Zaheer Khan looks fit and bowled well, but he is no where as threatening as he used to be at his prime. I don't think India can prevent SA racking up 400.

South african bowlers were hitting the deck while our bowlers are just putting it there.

150 first innings lead on cards?

To me south africa looks all set to score 420-450 in first innings.

Its probably the length the Indians are bowling - and the bounce too. Here in India, fast bowlers are used to bowling shortish length and they need to bowl fuller in SA.

If this bowling continues, we might as well give SA this match now...

Shami can reverse the old ball if roughed up .... Zak n Ishant need to pick a couple in the next spell ... keep it tight boys.... keep fighting ....

SA just starting to up their RR. It's just gone above 3, India, Kohli apart, never seemed to push on, not watching so can't say if it's the pitch and/or tight bowling though.

I wonder if JK still has a hundred or two left in him. If he can get one in each of the next game he has a reasonable chance of catching Sachin.

India is a bowler short, probably someone will roll his arm.

RR is picking up nicely now. At this rate if S.A don't lose wickets they will be about 50 behind at close of play. Then on day three they can look to get a big lead up put India in to bat late tomorrow from when I'll be at the ground and for day 4.

India needs not to get 80 or 90 runs lead... on this pitch 80 or 90 runs lead is match winning lead...

This is where teams like India feel the need of a proper all-rounder. Just having someone like Kallis or say even a watto adds so much to the team.

no demons in this pitch and india is without 4th seamer so south africa will treat ashwin just like indians treated tahir.
