On wickets like these spinners like Ashwin like to flourish when pressure is on the opposition. But unlike the first innings, no such pressure has been applied by the seamers. In their defense, the wicket is quite flat with the odd ball behaving badly, and luck has not gone the Indian way (apart from the freak Kallis dismissal), all edges have dropped short or raced away to the boundary. Even with all these, India should have won, and India is probably the only team amongst the non minnows that would fail to defend this target or allow the opposition to get so close in case it is a draw.

It was Ojha who was the only spinner who took wickets when England beat us at home 1-2 ...
Bhajji & ashwin didnt do anything..

Next series against Aus too, It was jadeja who bowled well at crush situation..Ashwin just a supporting role...

have you seen his scores against Australia? I used the term scores not average on purpose coz that average was not boosted by a daddy hundred. When you take into context the match situation in those runs you might say "wait a minute... i'm talking rubbish here"
