You are so correct, this is the problem with asian teams, they just dont know how to finish the job. Now that a small partnership is building up I wouldnt be surprised if SA get 200odd and beat India..
 
Pollock is the type of allrounder OZ needs - a bowling allrounder, not a batting allrounder like Watson.

Kemp Took the game away from us, congrats SA on a 2-0 lead in the series.. Not sad that India is in this position because I have accepted; the sad reality that India is just not good enuff........

Better late than never.... :21:

I think this is not the first time. India have been consistently crap in both batting and bowling during last 10 overs. Unless they find a solution to this, teams with good hitters will always fancy their chances no matter how hopeless the situation.

SA was 76-6 at one stage, India has fluffed it, but Kemp was out to Kumble very early on, and he went on to make a 100!.

Yes, some other matches, Sa was like 7 down for 90 odd and India should have won that in a test match in Sa, Pak 39-6 and they went on to win it, Sri L 96-6 and won a odi in Sri L a couple of years ago, Pak u19 all out for 110 yet India was 9-6.

Add to that the Kolkotta Test match of 99. Forget 39/6, we were 22/6 and still won :D

This match isnt over, but I'd imagine the players would be very demoralised by that

It would take a super-human effort to win from here, because SA have morally dented them. Last 14 overs around 140 runs.

And RunRate in last few overs was around 15.
 
Or could we see a monumental SRT innings today ?

3/1 off 3. This pitch is great for the bowling side. Lots of pace and life in it. Pollock and Ntini spot on straight away.
 
Tendulkar gone hitting it straight to square leg. He middled it but straight to Bosman.

Only players that can hit the ball in this weak armed Indian lineup are Dhoni, Harbhajan and Pathan.
 
I have wanted kaarthik in team purely as batsmen for a long time now....He might get out early today ,but a good selection in my opinion ......!
 
Karthik looks like a very good prospect.

The guy is positive and confident and is not scared of Pollock like Tendu and Sehwag

What you are saying makes no sense, you are saying he could get out early but he is a good selection :30: ... We have 2 wicket keepers in this side for god sake, I think we should just stop playing this sport and maybe take up another one where we have less chances of getting humilated on a regular basis.....

From wat I ahve seen hes a good prospect weather he scores today or not..i have seen this guy from his u-19 WC days ..hes good enuf to be played as a pure batsmen...so wat if we ahve two keepers in team who can bat aswell ? how is that a bad thing ?

It's a bad thing because promising kids like; Badrinath, Uthappa etc who have had good tours of Australia with the Indian A side is kept out....

I never said hes the worlds best batsmen..but good enuf to replace useless players like tendulkar n kaif !

Dravid is going like a house on fire........21 off 53 (strike rate of a magnificent 39.62 runs per 100 balls). This is a fantastic captains knock from Dravid. Leading from the front and doign exactly what the team needs him to. Remember, 7.10 runs per over is the required rate. Dravid is doing EXACTLY the right thing here..........DEFEND.
