It goes to show the lack of match awareness that our batsmen possess. The old ball has done zilch on this pitch. And now it looks like a great batting pitch. All the top and middle order had to do was see off the new ball and even 3.5 RPO was pretty decent. All was needed was to respect the conditions in the early half of this innings.

Indeed, sort of pitch where 120-3 after 30 overs is okay but we batted senselessly and failed to judge the conditions.

Still Hasan Ali's delightful cameo gives the bowlers something to work with.

Mate, Imad wasim will be missed here, he was needed for such a pitch. Pakistan spinners can do the job here if fast bowlers can provide early break through. SA are known for choking. Shadab should come to bowl if we don’t take wickets in the first 5 overs and same for Hafeez.

Didn't rate Phehlukwayo much as a bowler after watching him against India. But he has very done well here on a good batting pitch.

Pakistan are lacking a good middle order batsmen. Atm we have no one apart from Babar and Fakhar who can be relied on as proper batsmen. Hafeez and malik are all rounders. Look how many allrounders we played today, fahem, talat,. Both not needed, shan should play instead of fahim, and talat should be given 1 more game.

From what has transpired, I think this is a new ball wicket. The new ball will definitely do something but then once the game goes past the 20-25 over mark, it's a beautiful batting track. If Pakistan has to win this, they need to get at least 5 South African wickets before 20 overs.
