Does Dhoni want wickets or he is going to play waiting game?No idea about his thought process.

It is not bait. It is kind of obsession. I see this comment from you about zak in gazillionth thread. I suggest you seperately open a threat like "Is zak over-rated". You can happily bash him. I honeslty don't care. It is just a match thread. Let us just stick to match related details.

:D

Use of part time spinners is not good news for India. If pitch is slow and hard to bat on now, they have to face the best 2 spinners in the world on this pitch later.

I think SL can declare and win the match :( . India is going to have realy trouble chasing anything over 210 here. Very slow pitch.

Mendis is going to have a field day with us. Hopefully they don't give wickets to him if not scoring off of him.

He really loves playing India doesn't he?

Yes. He loves subcontinent pitches especially. Agarkar surprisingly bowls well to him. But last series when Srilanka came to india , Jayasurira flopped so badly that they dropped him from the Test series. Everyone thought his career was over. Then he came back in style.

Is Dhoni making protest about this last minute schedule of this tour . Raina and Rohit? They don't even bowl for their states.

Well played Jayasuriya. Oldest player ever to score a ODI 100 beating Boycott's record.

I think Dhoni will bowl 2 more overs, and then the last 10 overs, Zaheer and Ishant will bowl. Also, powerplays will come in and Zaheer usually bowls very well in the powerplays.

Nevermind, the powerplays are being taken at the end of 38th over :D

Kandamby should have rotated the strike and give majority of the strike to Jaya. I think that will be their strategy for the powerplays. Also, smart move by SL to send Mahroof to do the hitting.

Ojha and Yousuf pathan themselves are inexperienced. Throw in Raina and Rohit into bowling mixture. He probably thought Munaf will go for even more. He has his own thought process.

He went through a similar patch in 2003 world cup. He made 19 runs in 6 matches in that world cup .

Dhoni is really smart about the way he uses his bowlers and he constantly changes them. Doesn't let the bowling side get comfortable. I wouldn't be surprised if SL can't make 240 from here because of smart captaincy by Dhoni.

Mahela is horribly out of form. What kind of shot was that lol. That was more like Munaf patel shot.

Is Dhoni experimenting these bowlers by making them bowl at the death.

I don't think so. Munaf was bowling poorly, so besides the 20 overs of Zaheer and Ishant, he needed his spinners to get the rest of the overs. That's exactly what he was doing till 38th over, when Powerplay was introduced.

250 will make for wither a close game, India's batting looks real weak without Sehwag. Apart from the Openers and Dhoni, the rest look real shaky against the Sri Lanka spin attack.

I think SL has got more than enough to clinch this match. Too many misfields. India could have restricted them for 220 with better fielding. Even that is high score on SL pitches.

A good score for Sri lanka on this wicket, India will need to get off to a flyer here!

lol Dharmasena gave a horrible first decision in his debut match. Half way the down the track outside the leg stump. How is that leg before. Another Asoka de silva in making?

the opening bowlers and the spin twins for sri lanka all have a bowling avg below 26. that's good going

Dharmasena has played with Jayasuriya.. With persistent overlong appeal, Dharma just put his finger up. An experienced umpire would have rejected it flat out. Being the first match for Dharma still little bit loyalty is still there.
