Sri Lanka won the toss and elected to bat

No 1 Ranked team fails to win a series in Sri Lanka again, most they can play for now is a drawn series if they win this match.

India haven't won in Sri Lanka now since 1993. 17 years and counting....

Teams :
SL :
TM Dilshan, NT Paranavitana, KC Sangakkara*, DPMD Jayawardene, TT Samaraweera, AD Mathews, HAPW Jayawardene†, S Randiv, SL Malinga, UWMBCA Welegedara, BAW Mendis

India :
V Sehwag, M Vijay, R Dravid, SR Tendulkar, VVS Laxman, SK Raina, MS Dhoni*†, A Mishra, A Mithun, I Sharma, PP Ojha

This test should provide somewhat of a better balance with the bat and ball. Conditions will continue to improve for bowlers as the test match goes on.

but according to report its better for 1st session only.....

Dhoni: "Amit Mishra replaces Harbhajan Singh. This track should be good to bat on after the first session. We would like to pick some early wickets in the first session."

hmm.. maybe Sri Lanka will post under 600 this time and malinga will get india under 300 :D
well i hope theres a competition

Listen to Sanga:

Sanga: "It looks pretty dry underneath. there should be something for everyone. 4th and 5th day there should be turn and the seamers might find something in the first three days. Malinga and Welegeera come in."

He says it'll be good for both the seamers and spinners :14::14:

Mithun to Sangakkara, no run, 128.8 kph, Edged but it fell short of first slip. It cut away from Sanga who was squared-up a bit trying to flick it to the on side and caught the edge. It fell well short of Dravid and jumped and he did well to stop it ...Risky to play across the line on this surface at this stage

indian bowlers should have bowled more deliveries at fuller length.they have been way too short.only 10-15% balls pitched at good length.

Raina drops a regulation catch at 3rd slip.
He came in front of 2nd slip...

Its funny when the culprit is not the team you support (no offence intended)

Com'on Sanga, Make them pay for it!!

Sl 62/1

get them out, get some fun into the match.Come up with a champion bowling performance . one magical bowling spell . I dont want the same old story. come on india...

Dilshan threw his wicket away...
should have seen the ball go past Vijay before taking off. Should have been careful as it was the last over before lunch!!

would've been good session had Raina not fked up the chance:pissed:

S.L 131/2

India need a few more wickets here, game is in the balance at moment.

Everyone please rise, greatest EVER H_T_B & F_T_B at the crease currently...

Cricindia commentary:

Dave: "Samaraweera looks like he's got some purpose today, playing aggressively and with that positive approach, only good can come..." Yep. He has played couple of good on drives and a delightful inside-out cover drive

I just noticed that my main man Yuvi is not in the side :D.... THANK GOD AND KEEP THIS FOOL AWAY FOR GOOD..................

Mishra and Ojha bowling more no-balls than Kaneria, didn't know that was possible.

Amazing fact:

Since desember 2000 it is first test where none of Kumble and Bhajii playing.

Zak isnt playing too.shows what an inexperiened attack we have,we cant expect too much from them

Well slightly better for the bowlers but still looking like a draw .... ZZZ!!!

Another bore-draw on the cards - damn these sub-continent pitches! :po:

Despite the fact Bhajji played last game and got how many wickets? Or the game before? :iamlegend

the pitch is offering turn.certainly not as flat as SSC.wont be a tame draw.Indian batsmen would have thier work cut out

If sehwag fires then maybe the draw can be prevented, if not then.....Zzzzz!
