Much better show by the Indian bowlers, fielding was still pathetic. Sanga should have been caught out much earlier
 
i seem the Greatest FTB of all time Samaraweera is plundering runs again!
 
The ball was doing good enough this morning But current Indian bowlers simply suck. They missed Zaheer with the new and old ball.

Where is Sreesanth? Injured? Because he is also good with the new bowl. India need to find bowlers who can swing with the new ball atleast. Hitting the deck hard doesnt work in South Asia, especially in Sri Lanka.
 
^^(I think) please correct me if im wrong - that sreesanth is injured, not 100% though.
 
The umpires have a chat about the light. And they think the light is not good enough right now. The players head back to the pavilion. it's not officially end of day's play yet. It has been Sri Lanka's day. The pitch looks like it will throw up a result
 
This pitch always almost always have produced results. Thats why this was great day for SL and it seem if India doesnt get them out first seasson then it will be game over for them.
 
India certainly had a better day today - i felt ojha bowled well, watched him in the IPL and he certainly did show signs of promise.

we need to get them below 450 to have any chance of winning,otherwise we'll be up against it
 
On this pitch 450 will be to much. In that case India can only hope for a draw and must likely will lose.
 
Good first day for Sri Lanka. I think they are the favorites from here on to take this series 2-0 against the so-called no. 1 team
 
i think Mishra has let India down done a Kaneria its helping spinners quite a bit if Murali was there it would have been a confirmed loss.

SL bowled out for 425

not a bad effort considering its an inexprienced attack n Raina dropped a dolly

but we've been all but batted out,lets hope they save it now

and when we complain about it you guys argue these are just excuses and our bowling is over rated.

ur bowling is overrated not because of dropped catches,but because it looks toothless in unhelpful conditions

and when has India score 500 in helpful conditions? The thing is you will struggle when things are against you its what you can do when conditions support you.
 
India need to get atleast 400 but also quickly as they need to win this match.

400 isnt enough against a batting line up like Indias and it is certainly not enough against an Inexperienced out of form Indian bowling line up. The Indians have done quite well here. The Sri Lankans dont have Murali anymore and they are just going to find out how tough life will be without him.
 
Sri lanka dont need to force the game here and i can see them playing a very slow 2nd battings inns when it comes round to it depending on how India bat 1st inns!
 
in last match, sangakarra had 5 fielders on boundary rigth from over 1 when sehwag came out to bat. I see the same happening after tea..

lots of times,Headingly 2002 n Mumbai last year we got more than 600,have scored 400 lots of times in tough conditions

lol you have to go all the way back to 2002 and don't bring sporting tracks performances because on sporting tracks I mean genuine bowling tracks. we are also getting sides consistently out for 300.

how many genuine bowling tracks do u see these days?

u r getting sides for 300 coz u r playing in helpful conditions.wen was the last time u played in India,WI or Pak.SL didnt give u flat tracks wen u toured last year
