Sri Lanka v India l 1st Test l Colombo | 23/7/08 | INDIA THRASHED!

I was wondering if SL were going to declare at 800 instead of 600, but obviously 600 was enough. Awesome performance from Murali.
 
This review system is so jacked up.

I was in favor of this before this was all on. But the way this is implemented is so jacked up I won't lie.
 
WHat is goin on my stream is breaking up ? Apparantly Anil thinks Sri Lankans have appealed for the catch and he is saying it didnt hit the bat.

My stream on the other hand is being continuously interrupted by a girl's voice and random rap songs.

Maybe there should also be a 5 run penalty for a failed appeal ?
 
Is Laxman the dumbest cricket to ever play ? why does he keep exposing tail-enders in each and every test match against every country ?

an appeal by the fielders covers all methods of dismissal.
 
Well looking forward to the next innings ... Mahela better enforce the follow on .. rain could come at any time ... he needs to bowl out India while he has a chance.

Lankan spinners looked far more dangerous than the Indians, especially the TOOTHLESS Kumble. I think he should take retirement and give young Chawla a chance.
 
So thats the end of Indian innings and what a beautiful delivery from Mendis to get rid of Laxman bowled him through the gate.

wow that must have been a great ball because before Laxman was getting a lot of outside edges against his bowling and now it seems he has beaten him from the other side too.

I would say the decision is more rightful as the it would have taken the leg stump for sure, more importantly Sehwag didn't offer the shot. but it has a funny part as well, the ball hit the front pad first and deflected to the back leg. but the hawk eye showed the trajectory straight to the back leg bypassing the deflection!!!!
 
Boycott is saying that it's wrong but I don't agree.

He's saying it struck the front pad first before hitting the back pad and that it was not in line when striking the front pad.

I agree that it hit the front pad first .. but it was in line even at that point.

I think it was a correct decision. You see, Planet, the "benefit of doubt goes to the batsman" thing is obsolete in this system. Here, if the ball pitched on the leg stump (even a part of the ball is enough) and was going to take the leg stump (even a prt of it), the batsman is out. That's because they can see replays and the doubt thing is no more.
 
Cricinfo guy is really upset with Sehwag LBW.
So guys was it right or not? As i am not watching the match today.

Tendu loses the battle again. He can't bat under pressure to save his life.
Unless rain comes, India looks likely to lose very quickly.

now with the review system is introduced.i think its better for the batsman to show some responsibility to save the dignity.
I mean how disgraceful it will look that you know you have edged it and then you stand at the crease and afterwards in review you are given out.
