Ofcourse he cant, thats why he is considered a chocker by some here. He is expected to single handedly win each and every game, he has got us close single handedly at times though but rest of the team did not show up then..

1. Sachin Tendulkar wants to overtake Lara on the all-time Test scorer list.
2. Sachin Tendulkar wants to score 50 Test centuries.
3. Kumble wants to overtake Shane Warne to become the second highest wicket-taker after Murali. (Even he knows he can't beat Murali but then who can?)
4. Ganguly .....
5. Laxman .....
6. Dravid .....

it actually didnt. It was a perfect batting track for the first 3 days. MOst of the indian batsmen have themselves to blame for it. On day 4 though, it was spinning. And as usual, murali repeated what he did to us in 01 in sl.

Big credit to Sri Lanaka - I think we are very privaleged to ve watching murali and mendis playing together in a solid team - their cant be too long left in muralis career (agewise).

Kulasekera has smooth action and has some height, he should bulk up a little though

I didn't see the match but I read some of the match thread while it was going. It looks like during SL innings some catches were dropped. Well if you drop catches you get punished sometimes. Has happened to Pakistan too before. For example at Multan vs India, vs WI when Paksitan toured last and Lara was dropped 2-3 times in first test. The team will get a big score and the extra pressure is there before you even face a ball. Plus SL are good at home. next match win the toss and bat first (that is the 95% strategy playing in Asia)

Another positive for India: Indian batsmen got to bat twice whereas the poor Srilankan tailenders could not bat even once.
