Three players who can get Pakistan close to SL target:

Shehzzy Boy: No matter what PP says, He is still our best opener in both Tests and ODIs in last year or so, He can be aggressive when needed and has the temperament to stay at the wicket for longer durations.

Asad Shafiq: Technically solid player with minimum flaws and can get through tough phases of play to cash in later by scoring big.

Sarfraz Ahmad: We all know what he's capable of.

For Pakistan to have any chance, all three need o fire and score big, simple.
 
Youre wrong if were gonna win its gonna be azhar younis or shehzad. Sarfraz and asad follow closely. I really hope misbah regains form though.

Can't play swing. Can't play spin. Can't score fast like hacks when he survives.

He is just a train wreak waiting to happen like Hafeez.

Now the useless azhar ali according to man of steel who hasnt scored any runs this series has come in place of our best opener across all formats. Some people are idiots

Just can't tell you how much my blood is boiling right now. The fact that we've lost this series after winning the first Test is a travesty.
 
Azhar looks positive i absolutely love this guy. But ofcourse shehzad is better ;)
 
Azhar is no doubt our best test batsman.

Lets just hope these two can take us....
 
Shehzad actually deserves this for not cashing in last test when he had a hundred on the plate.

His first ever duck in 21 innings. Not bad.
 
Now our Second best opener will win it for us. I am damn sure shaan masood will do it.
 
We need these 2 to take us to 80 runs. And azhar justc ant get out. He needs a huge partnership with younis.
 
Shehzad gone early as expected, also I hope I am wrong but I don't see Masood lasting too long.

The middle order needs to do bulk of the work.
 
Shan masood's technique is literally offensive to left-handed batsmen in all the teams.

Rameez clearly can't tell the difference b/w Usain Bolt and Trent Boult.
 
Good single by Shaan. That is his strength. He's a sensible batsman who looks for singles and rotates strike well.

I hope this is his day.
 
It will be alot better for them to approach this as a one day chase rather than a test chase. If they attack, there is a slim chance that they can get close. Of course, the more likely outcome is losing wickets quickly and hence losing the match.

But if they defend, they have zero chance of even coming close. Just attack and see what happens.
 
68 overs remaining today,if pakistan score @3 rpo without losing more than 2 wickets tomorrow could be very interesting
 
Exactly. Just attack. Put SL under pressure. Matthews is most def captain ever(after ours) so will throw field back.

Send in Sarf next.
 
Ahmad "dekho meri selfie" Shehzad is a gift to the nation of Pakistan. A gift one gifts away to others.
 
The next wicket will probably fall soon,Sarfaraz should be sent next and given license to attack.Both players blocking is not good
 
Shan masood is very good against fuller length. Needs to support azhar who is the best in the team currently. Shan really needs to be confident against short bowling though.
 
Oh yes Shaan looking v good today. Comfortable. Get through this bro. In sha Allah will get maiden ton. Has hit 3 boundaries this test, have all been played superbly.
 
Looks like Masood commits on the front foot too early...needs to be wary of the short ball
 
One positive stroke off the front foot and prasad has started to bowl short which wont allow him tk swing the ball.
Just what positive batting can do.

He actually is good at short ball when looking to hit. I remember him pulling Morkel and Philander. Its just he doesn't know if he should go for it or not.

We need to leave and defend the good balls and put away the bad ones. By put away I don't mean whack for 6 I mean hit for 1 or 2
