Well, bangladeshi will be playing their first away test series in 2 years. They last played a one-off test against zimboks.

Hopefully, it will be a good contest though lankans are clear favourites. And importantly, there are plenty of cricket played but it seems the match will be drawn thanks to the weather

Tamil Iqbal to score first Bangladeshi double ton. BD to win by 100+ runs margin/ 5+ wickets.

Weather forecast is not looking good. Especially afternoon showers are expected in the next 3 days. Bangladesh should bowl first if they win the toss.

Wish shakib was here, then bangladesh would have a good chance to win the test series. Oh well.

Hopefully rain stays away and we get a full match. This is our best chance in lanka over the years, lanka are their weakest in the last 10 years and we are at our best.
 
Sri Lanka better not take Bangladesh lightly. You can see it in the fire in the eyes of the Bangladeshi players, their fierce overwhelming determination to draw.

This comment is coming after listening to the news that BCB will pay if the players manage a draw. Dont worry guys, the match will probably be washed out

Rooting for you guys to win this though. I don't agree SL is the best shot of winning (believe Rahim said this), they're one of the better teams in the subcontinent, it'll take a pretty big ask to beat them.

In ODIs you'll put up a much better fight. Bangladesh have actually done and won a lot more in LOI over recent times, which they haven't been credited so much. Particularly impressed how Rahim's got better with the bat.

To be fair the article should have been BCB offer said amount for win and a bit less for draw. Which seems pretty understandable. And that's probably how it is. But the way it's being presented it looks like Bangladesh have just set the bar to draw now instead of winning. Which probably isn't true. Media just probably liked spinning it like that so it looks funnier.
 
Without Sakib BD are so much weaker, it will be really tough for them. He is probably one of the best all rounders out there when you consider the amount of bowling he does as well as being their best batsman.
 
BD have gone in with defensive bowling attack , with long batting , draw in mind.
 
This is what happens when your opening bowlers are far worse than ishant sharma
 
As expected, BD are on their way to another loss. Shakib's absence is already hurting us. Not only he is a key batsman but also the best bowler in the BD lineup.

BTW, i feel as if the match is being played in a graveyard

If you talk about decency in limited over formats we have plenty.

But as for tests, our armoury is pretty empty. There are players like enamul and tamim who are key players but both of them are out with injury. Nasir, gazi, mushfiq and riad are the only decent players in our side, none of them being world class. And the pace bowlers who playing this match are so crap that they spent most of the time in the sidelines during BPL.

We are losing this test match, by an innings. And if we win, I will be running in the streets without clothes on the 13th of March

Their board persuaded their players. Perhaps saying that "Comeon, playing against BD in tests will boost your average"

Suprisingly, the grunts have reduced significantly. And yet he bowls in the 100 KPH. What suprises me is that we actually have plenty of decent pace bowlers in our domestic circuits but guys like abul and sharapova get picked time and again.

Maybe our selectors forgot that this Cricket not tennis

ofcourse, the guy plays well everytime he is given an opp. but selectors keep giving chances to sharapova and abul(which means noob in Bangla :D ).

Guy averages 120 doesn't he :D.

Know he hasn't done too well with the ball, but can't help to admire the character of the man to go and get a century at no.10 on debut. Stuff of dreams. Don't think most especially outside Bangladesh (who will be me more concerned with their fast bowling stocks than the neutral fan obviously) really want him out the side.
 
Kumar Chokshanada Sangakkara was plumb lbw earlier but not given out .
I just checked the weather forecast & it shows thunderstorms on all days . Can BD draw this ?

We do suck in tests but umpires makes things more difficult for us :facepalm:

Sohag Gazi to Sangakkara, no run, oh that was a very good shout for lbw! It was tossed up on the off and middle line and Sanga came forward to defend but played outside the line, hits the batsman on the knee roll, would have gone on to hit leg stump to me..Lucky Sanga

hmm

Imagine Sanga getting out early, BD would have been in a commanding position. More reason to call UDRS.
