lol if we start counting every keeper's missed chances, they won't be far off Kami:p it's just people love Kami more...:)

Keepers miss this sort of chances about once in few matches, kamran drops the easiest of catches thus people get on his shoulders.

I remember in the T20 match, he almost dropped the catch of Faf. Luckily, he caught the ball of a rebound but it was a regulation take and even a 10 year keeper should have taken it CLEANLY. Worst part of Kami's keeping is that, the players get energized. Remember Taylor?

To be fair Rahim's a decent bat these days much improved. Better than Kamran bat alone.

And he's only 24.

Mushy started his career as an average batsman and an ordinary wicket keeper. He played his first test back in 2005.

He improved leaps and bounds over the years, working very hard on his batting and also his keeping. Surprisingly, his performance has not gone down a bit after being handed captaincy and so far has not gone through too much controversy. From a very average player to a world class player, mushfiqur rahim deserves a lot of praise. Had an average of around 20 at the start of his career, in recent years he has been averaging about 40-45.

What a horrendous wicket. Seems to be even flatter than the SSC. Even that road has a few potholes as time goes by at least. Epic fail.

Yeah.. Mushi is in Far different level compared to Kami.. He has improved a lot ,and his improvement has been proved in this Test, whether thi pitch is Flat or whatever.. where as Kami is becoming more and more mediocre after each series with Both Bat and Gloves..

Actually he has become slightly better with the gloves these days, but still a very ordinary keeper.

BTW, you said Ashraful will score a double. Your prediction finally failed :ahmed

Good luck lions for the fifth day,But i must say mushfiq is better captaincy option for tigers because of his educated leadership skill, way to go Nasir

I can see a lot of similarities between India and BD: crap in the first 20 years of their history, no fast bowlers produced, flat tracks or dust bowls at home, bad away record, limited-overs focused, BPL paying high bucks to (some) mediocre players because of their nationality, spin bowlers oriented and
passionate (blind?) fans :P

From the SL v Bangla crapinfo commentary

Gareth: "My wife asked me to submit a similar report to her, asking for three points on how to rejuvinate our marriage. I wrote down the names of her three sisters."

GK: "Breaking News: The SLC has asked all their currators to submit a three point report on how their pitches will be more competitive on an international standard. All submissions require footnotes and an annotated bibliography."

Kiran Kumar : "For suresh raina, no issues as his nephew will finish the presentation"

:)))

Aussies will never hear the end of it during the Ashes lol.

MM: "I envy Australian cricketers....they are given 2 weeks off from work when they dont do their homework."

They just keep on coming :asif

1350 runs for 15 wickets ie 90 runs per wicket
Bangla 638 all out ie 60+ runs per wicket and SL 720/5 ie 140+ runs per wicket

Pathetic! These morons have somehow even turned Galle into another SSC. Let's see if ICC does any thing about it. These are the sort of Test wickets which really should be banned. I would take a game which ends in 3 days with a result over these boring and pointless run fests any day.

These pitches are abhorrent.

These FTBs pile on centuries and then act like they're all so good, and deserving respect. And then they go to Australia, SA, Eng, NZ, and can't buy runs. Stuff like this should be disqualified from records. Especially if these pitches are all they play on.

The curator and SLCB members should be forced to walk in a desert in afternoon for 2 days straight without water. Only then will they realise the kind of torture bowlers go through on this track.

7.5 an over for 35 overs...

Will the Bangers have a go? Surely the must, they don't get many opportunities to pinch a test & the chance of being bowled out on Colombo Highway #1 is about 0.5%.

I don't think they'll get there but I'd like to see them have a dip.

Lankans got scared of Bangla Bros chasing down a total. So no sporting declaration. Curator should be forced to wear sweater while standing in a desert in peak afternoon hours.

8 centuries in 4 days, mostly by mediocre batsmen. Must be the flattest road on earth, you can use it as an airstrip i guess.

No, he should be forced to bowl at the local clubside on this pitch every day after work for about 4 hours until he has dismissed them all in about 3 weeks time.

Sangakara and co cashing in :))) mahela is missing out he would have broke lara record on this pitch :)))

Make Dale steyn bowl in this pitch for the rst of his life. Bradman's average will come into jeopardy!

These type of road wickets are a disgrace to the game!

Congrats Bangla well played. Showed a lot of maturity and discipline this match. Looking forward to the next Test. Hopefully this is not just a one-off and they can keep going from strength to strength and bring some consistency to their game.

Meanwhile, according to some people, even their grandma would score a century on this pitch.

I don't see the point SL are trying to make here...

With such a flat track any team can come and score big and its kind of certain its gonna end as a draw? SL being the better team than BD, they should have opted for a much more sporting wicket, they do have better bowlers in their ranks than BD and could have won this game.

When people Say India make tracks that suit their game, atleast its better than having lame games like this one where a result looks impossible even if the game goes on for 6/7 days.

It was the curator's doing obviously. Matthews sounded peeved off about it all. This rubbish strip looked to be even flatter than the SSC road. Nothing was hapenning even on the last day. SL will probably end up below WI in the rankings now after this even if they manage to win the next one.

First draw against the Lankans....yes it came on a ROAD trip :P but none the less it isn't meaningless to us. Away from home, without two of our top players, with hardly any wicket takers, 2 players making a debut, 5 players who have played less than 7 test matches, this just goes on to show that the talent that people used to talk about is now finally showing sings of being applied.

Taking wickets still remain a problem.... two innings combined we failed to take 10 wickets. Hopefully once Shakib returns he along with Gazi should pose problems for batsmen in sub continental pitches. Scary to think what the likes of Cook and Amla will do against Shahadat + Abul.

All said and done though, historic day for us this. People can laugh about bonus being given for just a draw, but this hasn't come the previous 12 times against Sri Lanka. And well we need to learn to walk before we run. The cubs are growing...

This might sound crazy but I reckon Bangla can give SL a good run on a turning track. Their spinners did better than SL considering they were bowling to better batsmen.

Steyn will average 40 if he is forced to bowl here again and again, not only that he will get major injuries that will end his career prematurely.

The sort of Test match that gives Test cricket a bad name and puts cricket lovers off 5 day cricket.

Well to be honest, our spin resources is better than of Lanka. We have shakib, gazi, abdur razzak whilst Lanka have only herath and the other spinners have been below-par.

But lankan players are really good players of spin, dilshan, jaya, mathews, sangakkara will make our spinners look ordinary
