Mashrafe wasn't bad. Didn't have any support but without injuries, he was a decent bowler. Shafiul, Shahadat, Rubel are crap. Rubel has fc average of 50 lol.

Rubel is considered the fastest bowler in Bangladesh bowling at 122 kph, he has a fan club and a fan page at a website. Not to mention Shafiul Islam is considered a swing king there. Mash is McGrath.

I think SL prepared a road assuming they could score huge on it (true) and that the Bangers would then as usual get themselves out cheaply with stupid batting in at least 1 of the 2 innings (we'll wait and see).

I have been put in hope by a single innings batting show by the Bangers, only for it to be followed by a hopeless 2nd dig WAY too many times by the Bangers to get my hopes up that they've changed.

For them it's only a poor pitch if match doesn't go to day 4/ 5. I think the Australia vs sri lanka match couple of years ago was rated a poor pitch because it was a low scoring game

Imran,wasim , waqar, shoib and even sami use to run through sides on tracks flatter than these(Pakistani tracks) because of reverse swings, i think reverse swing is more potent on flatter tracks but you need express pace to make it effective 143++++ (higher the pace more the ball swing late).

You also need an abrasive surface though to rough up the ball naturally. Not sure what kind of a surface this is. Probably just a full on flattie by the look of the scoreboard.

SL curators have no idea how to put up a proper Test wicket. It's either an absolute road resulting in boring run fests, or it starts breaking up far too quickly and the toss plays too much of a role, or it assists quicks too much and takes our strength of spin out of the equation.

That was rated poor by ICC even though it resulted in quite an entertaining game of cricket. Plus the 2nd half of that match actually produced nearly 100 more runs than the first lol. While roads like this producing meaningless run fests are A-OK.

Not sure as don't follow them but they are the kings of messing up IF they get a decent score first time around that is which they have managed to do so. It will depend on Sri Lankas desire to push for a win but if they do I suspect at the very least Bangladesh will lose some quick wickets second time around.

true that our second team is performing better. Tamim is a better batsman than Jahurul and shakib would have been quite useful in such conditions as well. Batting has not really disappointed me, it is the bowling. In the course of the match we gave away almost 600 runs and took 5 wickets.

BD has improved leaps and bound since 2012. The asia cup, series win against WI in ODIs and now making SL run for their money.

And we have just 3 series this year! And we are not even participating in the champions trophy! Hopefully, india will finally host us as they have promised to time and again
