Terrible stuff from junaid. Theyll replace him next match for imran or ehsan. Not too late to bring in hafeez

I reckon Uncle Zulfiqar, or Hafeez should have been brought on. Why Junaid?
 
Junaid is paying back to Misbah and Waqar. I would rather take 1 extra batsman over him.
 
Karunaratne rarely inspires confidence, but he is a nice little strokemaker when he gets going.
 
Half an hour until stumps, with 10 overs still remaining. How's that going to work?
 
We need zulfiqar to come good to have any decent chance to win this match

Almost had him.
That's the delivery hafeez usually gets his wickets from. Get them on the back-foot!

So far in this match, Wahab and Babar are averaging 21 while Yasir is averaging 47 and Junaid has yet to take a wicket.

Fair to say that you can't win a Test when two of your four front-line bowlers don't show up. Hafeez has done well but he is a part-timer.

I wish our fast bowlers were like that.
Hafeez keeps bowling full for 2-3 balls and then suddenly slips on in that skids on with the bounce.
 
If we can get sanga out today , we will have a good chance of getting lankans out cheaply

Yasir was always going to struggle against the better players of spin bowling. He is too inconsistent.

I also fear that Yasir is not up for it against good players of spin, but at the same time, Ajmal himself was impotent against these players.

We have to come out attacking tomorrow. Need to build a lead quickly, put Pakistan on the back foot.
 
Is Sangakkara finally past it at this level? Has looked unconvincing in both innings. Maybe he is struggling without Ajmal.
 
Nightwatchman! How do you attack in the morning with a nightwatchman at the wicket?
 
An ordinary series so far for Herath and Sangakkara. If it continues, we can win the series.

Herath is definitely past it IMO. Did not trouble the Pakistani batters like he did last year. Sanga I'm not too sure. Might come back and score a double hundred in the next test :P

im not. he's retiring in a couple of tests anyway. but it's a bit ridiculous to say a guy is losing it based on a single test. it's just the times we live in when ppl jump to conclusions in a split second without really having an idea
 
Pakistan's day but the game heading towards a draw IMO. Psychological advantage for Pakistan if it continues like this. Two regrouping sides.
 
It's interesting that we all feel as though Sangakkara failed in this match, and yet, he still scored a fifty in the first innings and finished up with 68 runs for the match, which for most other players would be considered a respectable/decent performance. He has set really high standards, I suppose.

Again, don't be so hyper-sensitive. I understand the pain of losing your legend at the wrong time because the future looks really bleak for you, unless you can produce another chucker like Muralitharan.

Don't get offended when no offense is meant.
 
wow what a days play, we were staring down the barrel of a possible follow and on and maybe a defeat, now if we can have a good morning session tomorrow we could win this match!

calm down bro. u have a history of making bad calls in the past and we will chalk this down as another one then. no need to get worked up and get personal.
 
Really we should not have let this test slip from having Pakistan at 5/96. At worst Sri Lanka need to come away with a draw, or I'll be very disappointed.
 
great day for the pakistanis. i cant see sri lanka getting out of this without some help from the weather gods though. it will be a good test for sl without sanga or mahela there.
