i hate clurr she's a canniving manipulative loudmouth, and if she was my colleague i would have told her what i think of her!!....

'clurr' :))) is as average and classless as you can get. Someone who compensates for her girth by just talking crap - you get a couple on every floor of every office. Reminds me of the type of girl who flirts with the old buddeh and motey cos she knows everyone else would want to chuck her out of the nearest window...

what a load of rubbish...i mean alex?? seriously? Helene? hunh? just shows how some idiots become managers and directors!!..what a laod of old tosh!...ok is it me or did lucinda look quite glamorous on the adrian childs show?

Alex reminds me one of my uni friend. We used to call him "daddy snake". I can't stand him and Helen both are rubbish and just their to make up the numbers.

Looks like Alan Sugar is caught up on the reality series bug and again fired the wrong person...

Again, someone like Helene, Alex or Claire should have been fired as they had conducted poor interviews...

None of those three looks employable to me and I just hope Alan Sugar makes the right decision and hires Lee, a contestant you would not mind winning but, it does not have the same magic as the previous winners..

Justice was served on the apprentice, with the correct person getting the job...

Me and my mates have discussed this at length and we decided that Claire is a disgrace to Wakefield, even though a couple saw her as some sort of ambassador! (probably the same people who thought Chanelle from Big Brother was an ambassador for our great city of Wakefield!)

the Person Who Is Hired Is.............................................................

Lee!!!!!!!!!!!!!

SB, i thought Claire wud have won. Good decision in the end though

yeah claire was the stronger candidate I thought aswell but Lee was more of a character, really pleased for him!

I'm really glad that Lee won, he really deserved it and was my choice after Raef was sacked.

They just had Raef on BBC News 24 a few minutes ago and the presenter did his best to make Raef talk trash about Lee and the other contestants but full credit to Raef he talked circles around the BBC guy leaving him looking a bit obsessive and stupid. The spoken word really is his tool.

The BBC guy wanted to make a big issue out of Lee's CV exaggeration but Raef made it look like the BBC guy was over reacting, BBC guy wasnt too happy but couldnt present his argument better than Raef! Quality stuff!

From the adverts, the new contestants look truly awful. Naturally, I can't wait!

New series starting today, below are details about the candidates

How many candidates will there be?
18... for now.

Lord Sugar wants the new candidates to be under no illusion how competitive the process will be, he said: "You see 18 people here, and we’re here for 12 weeks - that tells you there are going to be occasions where more than one person is going (to be fired). And I don’t care how many it can be. I really don’t care. I’m very flexible and it is a very, very competitive situation. You can compare this to being on a life support machine and one of your colleagues here pulling the plug out just to charge their mobile phone up. That’s how competitive it will get.’’

Oliver is the founder and director of a sausage manufacturer which supplies supermarkets both in the UK and internationally. I might watch it but the quality of candidates has gone down markedly over the years as those really interested in business realise it's a crapshoot and fame-hungry wannabe z-list celebrities try to use it as their passport to fame/infamy

Usual mix of people who are full of themselves, thick, lack common sense and the occasional intelligent and level-headed person.

What's the Indian guy on? Seems like he's on a different planet.

At least he looks like Umar Akmal, as if that is some sort of consolation.

For some extremely convoluted reason (unbeknownst to my brain) I genuinely was reading the thread title as the 'The Appetite is Back' !!!

I seriously need to sleep more than just 4 hours a day......

Is this show worth watching anymore?

Last season I saw was in 2012. Would anyone suggest picking it up again?

Maybe it is worth a watch but I've not checked it out in a while, there have been some decent seasons since 2012 but not so sure about the recent ones and the format has been changed with the winner receiving an investment from Lord Sugar when it comes to their business idea whilst becoming a joint partner at the same time.

This has been brilliant though:

http://www.bbc.co.uk/iplayer/episod...-do-you-have-what-it-takes-series-1-episode-1

Astronaut Chris Hadfield, former Nasa medical researcher Dr Kevin Fong and psychologist Dr Iya Whiteley put 12 exceptional candidates through a series of gruelling physical and psychological tests to find out who has what it takes to be an astronaut. Using the demanding criteria of space agencies, they must hover a helicopter, take their own blood and be tested for claustrophobia, physical fitness and mental agility. Those who fail to make the grade can be asked to leave at any time.

Only 6 episodes, 1 more if left to air

I think quality has gone down since early series where you had guys like Tre who were decent business people but also entertaining

Now you just tend to get serial reality show wannabes

Anyway some desi interest perhaps:

Watch the astronaut season its way better

More comedians again.

Makes me wonder how some of these people actually get on the show.

Most of the contestants dont give a monkeys about the Business apprenticeship, they are looking to make a career in television.

this totally matches my feelings on it now

Time to put and end to "The Apprentice". It has lost it's appeal and charm now like most programmes whose shelf life has expired. Many if not most past winners don't last long with Alan Sugar it seems.

Apprentice legacy

Trump
Sugar
Hopkins

it's a full on racist/fascist enabler
