Swann's record in all 3 formats is superb, he is blatantly a better bowler than Ajmal, anyone who thinks differently doesn't have a clue

Thats well bowled

Thats the line he should be bowling, outside off

Back to full and straight, Swann needs to flight it outside off

Broad has been looking like taking a wicket he has been beating Haddin
Or maybe he's just looking good in comparison to Finn

that's the least you can expect from your new ball bowler with a fresh cherry.

pls see who has wickets in this innings and who doesn't.

Really poor stuff from England

Swann bowling middle and leg line with 3 men deep

Gifting singles to Haddin

Haddin has crept up to 74 btw

Looking set for a big one himself

because I've seen enough now to suggest that Australia are hardly a better team than England. their batsmen have just applied themselves better. we will have better days

they're batsmen havent applied themselves better, england just has one garbage player whose given australia this chance

U seem mighty frustrated, u shld relax, really. No need to use inferior/superior lang, uve been quite offensive since yesterday. If ur looking for more england support then ur free to hunt down other forums where ull find it.

If swann bowls like this for the rest of this series, then he'll soon catch up with Ajmal at a very very fast pace

If...

Swann is a proven performer and has got another 9 and a half innings to improve in these conditions

Ajmal meanwhile is just not that good

Hussey doesn't look like hes going to do something stupid

?

just continuing the debate

what is wrong with inferior/superior lang? he is just saying it as it is. Swann even with this performance is 10x better than Ajmal who at best is the most inferior offspinner right now

20 minutes to lunch. England desperately need to strike

Yet another leg side single.

Its too easy for Australia

I'd say at this moment that Ajmal's better than Harbhajan Singh. At least he didn't bowl negatively to right handers from round the wicket with the leg side packed,

No ones saying swann isnt good, he is, but no need to bring someone else completely down to make another look better.

Am I the only one here other than Whippy who wants Swann to start tearing through the line up?

Hopefully he's just not used to the conditions and can pull it together soon!

yes perhaps. U don't think abt Harbhajan for some reason when thinking about finger spinners. he is just so so bad

Ajmal is inferior.............bowler in every way posible compared to Swann....... apart from dosra which he bowls with suspect action.........

Too defensive from England here, they are not getting a wicket like this

somebody suggested that Swann had been influenced by Ajmal, and I responded to this by pointing out that this was unlikely, given how Swann is blatantly better than Ajmal. really offensive and risque debate going on here as you can see

I want Swann to do well but i am supporting Australia otherwise

increasingly looking like yet another test match where under-par first innings batting has spoilt our chances.

I did not mean it to say that Ajmal is neccessarily better than Swann. I was implying that like Ajmal, Swann has bowled too flat and short this innings, as Ajmal tends to do in his spells

being Pakistani, many posters will see similarities with Ajmal, because its only natural, whippy no need to get angry.

Ajmal right now isnt even good enough to play for Pakistan. No wonder Sami replaced him who is worst bowler of all time to play 30 tests.

Australia lead by 55 runs with 5 wickets still in hand

Swann will easily bounce back. He's a class player anyone who's bashing him then you got a screw lose.

I'm not angry

if anything the reaction to what I've said has really confusing, I saw it as nothing but a reasonable enough point

Jimmy back into the attack

England's last chance before lunch

this is actually just sick

my 'ed 'urts

should have just gone to bed

we need to have an afternoon session like yesterday's

I think you should calm down.

Hussey looks like hes going to make 200 here if wickets are kept in hand

Current Partnership 185

quick single to mid on

Well run

England are down - and almost out
