Chinese engineering is beating German Auto, Americans are getting better at AI.

germany is in a slow death spiral, their industry is getting out competed by asia, their local markets arent big enough, and their major brands are relying primiarily on their reputation than actual technical prowess. they have zero penetration in modern tech. they also have one of the most aggressive demographic changes in any countries history, europe is sleep walking into germany swinging hard to the right when the economic downturn eventually bites. their politicians have been asleep at the wheel, like most of europe, unable to understand the shifting economic trends in a bipolar world.

Unfortunately true.. Zeiss is their only top company that is irreplaceable, Germany still has the foundations to kick start or push scientific entrepreneurship but they are happy with status quo.
