The NFL Thread

These dumb celebrations all took place last year. :asif

How old do you think Desean is? Lol.

Plus even though I don't like him starting his celebrations before he scores, there's a difference between TD celebrations and veterans jumping up and down on the sideline like they just won the superbowl.

We also could have been the only team to beat the Pats in 07 (with Kyle Boller as our QB) if Clayton hadn't dropped the td pass in the last seconds of the game. And the only time Brady played well against the Ravens was in 09 reg season, which we lost also because of Mark Clayton drop, and that too in the last seconds of the game... (yea, that game where Brady kept crying to the refs because Suggs was in his face all day)

No wonder, Brady is so scared of Reed and Suggggsss

1) Could have, should have, would have

The Ravens could have been the only one's to beat the Pats that year?

The Colts were beating them with 3 minutes and change left.

The Eagles went into Foxboro with their back-up qb and gave the Pats a scare.

The Jets played them tough at the end of the year.

Your last post (regarding Desean) sounded like this happened years ago..lol

and Ravens go overboard only with the steelers since they are the rivals. Desean had plenty of retarded premature celebrations last year (and I believe one of them resulted in a fumble)..

All of those game took place before the Ravens game (with the exception of Jets game--which wasnt that tough), thats why I said they could have been the only team that year since the teams you mentioned above failed.

Can you tell me which premature celebrations from last year you are talking about?

Please don't run away this time and answer the question.

The Ravens failed also...so

So the Colts couldn't have been the only team?

The Eagles couldn't have been the only team?

Did you watch that Pats/Jets game? They were playing the Pats tough.

You're not making any sense.

I guess I should have been more clear. What I meant to say was the ravens could have the ONLY team since the other teams failed. How hard is that to understand?

Jets had nothing to lose, they were one of the worst teams--they were desperate in that game. The Pats played like they didnt care, since they were 14-0 or something like that.

Wasnt there one against Dallas where he threw the ball right before scoring a TD?

How hard is that to understand? Do you understand how meaningless what you are saying is?

All the teams before the Colts failed. They could have been the only ones.

All the teams before the Eagles failed. They could have been the only ones.

All the teams before the Jets failed. They could have been the only one.

What makes the Ravens so special?

Jets had nothing to lose, they were one of the worst teams--they were desperate in that game.

Ok? And your point is?

The Pats played like they didnt care, since they were 14-0 or something like that.

Haha are you serious? The Pats went all out that season. Played all their starters up until the playoffs. Wanted to go undefeated.

Here we go again.

You said

Desean had plenty of retarded premature celebrations last year (and I believe one of them resulted in a fumble)..

You are saying for a fact that DeSean had plenty of premature celebrations last year and you believe one of them resulted in a fumble.

I asked you very clearly to please tell me which celebrations you are talking about since you said there were plenty of them.

I asked you to please not run away and answer the question.

And you reply with

Wasnt there one against Dallas where he threw the ball right before scoring a TD?

1) So now we're going from plenty to one?
2) That was in 2008. Last I checked, that was 3 years ago.

I was talking about the one where he dropped the ball, others were just him falling back or doing something completely unnecessary.

You are really having trouble reading my posts lol. Don't worry, once the eagles win on sunday, you will clearly know what I mean in my posts on this page..:)

Not if my team has Troy Brown, Branch, Moss, Wes walker and a coach who gets away with spying on other teams...

Pls tell me you have watched the game for more than 3-4 years. EVERY NFL head coach admits to taping opponents practice, it was known practice, even to Manning's coach Dungy! Patriots' problem was their arrogance in doing it even after the league warned them.

And lol about the players you quoted, need i remind you that Brady won 3 superbowls without Moss and Welker!

Yes, just like he owned us in the 09 playoffs.

Brady was so right in saying "They like to talk after winning one game against us in 9 years" 5-1 record against the Birds. 'Nuff said! :))

If my aunty had balls, she would be my uncle.

No wonder, Brady is so scared of Reed and Suggggsss

Ravens fans holding on to Suggs' jocks need to look at some actual games.
"Brady has drawn 0.16 roughing the passer calls per 100 attempts. That, for Brady, is one call in every 625 pass attempts" That ranks amongst the lowest in the league. SMH

Don't bother with him bro. He likes to just make claims and say stuff that he might hear from his friends but then run away when you ask him for evidence.

Atleast we won when it mattered most ;)

And lol, everyone knows Brady is scared of reed. Just watch the documentary of your cheater coach and hear them prepare for Reed. Regarding suggs, lol he owns Brady everytime, off the field and own the field. Too bad Brady gets protected like crazy by the refs, or else he would have 4 sacks each game. Ha!

And lol at the 'every NFL coach admits to cheating' part. Are u kidding me?? :))) looks like the buffalo loss has messed up your mind. :))

I did watch every Eagles game last year. He has only fumbled once in his career on a premature celebration and that was in his rookie year in 2008.

He scored 6 TDs last year. That pic you posted was the only premature celebration out of all of them.

Perhaps next time you check your facts before posting.

So how about them Panthers!? Cammie is looking real sharp, better watch out Bear fans!

Tut tut, these NFL fans of 3-4 years... *Sigh*

Ever heard of a former coach called Jimmy Johnson? Here's what he had to say:

"Q: Did you ever steal signals?

JJ: Oh in a heartbeat, yeah. Yes I did.

Q: Via video, Jimmy? Or no?

JJ: Oh yeah, I did it with video and so did a lot of other teams in the league. Just to make sure that you could study it and take your time, because you’re going to play the other team the second time around. But a lot of coaches did it, this was commonplace.

Q: But did you do it by taping the signal caller?

JJ: Yeah."

It was "commonplace"

Yes, he definitely represents every single NFl coach. :14:

Again, atleast we won when it mattered most. What was it, 33-14? :))

no point. Brady gets protected. You know it, I know, every single nfl player/fan/analyst knows it.

LOL. Yes, you beat us once after we whipped you 5 times before. Hey, you won your Superbowl, congrats! :sohail

"lot of coaches" "commonplace" :asif

How exactly does it represent today's coaches? (you siad 'EVERY SINGLE coach..)

Your cheater coach was caught. Get over it and accept the reality.

stop being desperate by posting silly interview from bostonherald.

Ironic coming from you, since you are refusing to see the obvious point: Bellichick was doing what was "commonplace" as was attested to by one of the most revered coaches of all time. And lol, is Boston Herald too sophisticated for you that you cant understand what Jimmy Johnson said?! Awwww... :))

ah, what a game it was. :afridi

Oh yes, you should yuck it up while you can, it wont last. As much is obvious from the 5-1 record. And you built on the Patriots win so much that you went on to win...... wait what? :))

"They talk a lot for winning one game in nine years". Oh how true!!! :)))

but hey, whatever keeps you happy..

Playoffs.

Just watched then Eagles 49ers highlights. Ouch, that loss has to hurt!
Eagles could have been in fieldgoal range, easily.

And damn, Vick is pissed off!

Another big time 4th quarter comeback by Eli!!!

Give my man the respect he deserves!!!!!

*sigh*....Panthers lose another close game. Had so many missed opportunities at the end!!! :pissed:

What a game. Reed, Lewis and Ngata were on fire tonight.

Bring it on Huston!

No lol.

Thanks for the photos, I have never been to the Linc, heard its a beautiful stadium. Have been to the VET plenty of times, used to roost in the 'NEST OF DEATH' that was something especially very early 90's....

P.S. Our season is OVER, time to start thinking of next years draft; I say we should tank this season and draft a top LB who can achor the middle, GET RID OF THAT MEXICAN JUAN CASTILLO, get some stud safeties and we will be back in business.....

We should get rid of Reid. His mistakes are the ones that are glaring so far like have castillo be the d coordinator. I dont know why we dont try to sign a lb just for backup like tatupu, we have the money. This is horrible though. I agree season is over.

Castillo move still puzzles me especially after we made such high profile signings and throw them under a rookie coach.. If Bradley, Mikell and Mcdermott been kept this D wouldve been unstoppable....

And the Packers keep on rolling, 4-0 baby, one by one, all will be slayed.

Having gamepass I watch a lot of NFL games on Sunday and its shocking the difference between Aaron Rodgers and guys like Flacco, Sanchez etc.

Rodgers right now is playing at an insane level and if he keeps this up, cannot see any team keeping up with us this season

Among Quarterbacks that have thrown at least 1,500 passes he is the only player in NFL history to have a QB rating of over 100. Brady Who?

Yup completely agree. McDermott was learning with limited players and did a pretty decent job. With better players he only would have done better. That is why I think Reid has to be fired. We need a new coach. Cullen Jenkins said the players arent playing fire and attitude, which is usually a sign that the coaches arent doing their job.

lol. Flacco and Sanchez both were playing aganist 2 of the top defenses in the league. What did you think? Flacco would repeat his 3 td 400 performance against Revis and Cromartie?

Sanchez isnt that good but he was without his starting center. Ngata and Reed gave him hell all night. Lol I would love to see Arod go against our defense :))

Eagles will be fine. They just gotta regroup and fix their issues. Thats what happens when you are the most overhyped team during the offseason. The pressure has obviously gotten to them.

The heat from NBA went through the same patch last year and went on to become the 2nd best team. Eagles will probably be at their best during Nov.

Are you serious? Jets are a top defense?

Ravens are an easy team to throw on. Rodgers would shred them and make 'em look like the old men they are.

Raven will never win it all with Flacco. You heard it here first.

ARod has been shredding every single one for the past season and a half. Did you even watch the super bowl against the Steelers? If it was not for the two three drops, his already great performance would be at legendary levels.

He does not have the best O-Line, its his mobility that allows him to make a lot of the plays and throws, and no one in the NFL can throw as good as he does on the run.

Right now no one in the NFL is as accurate as him, just watch the tocuhdown pass to Jennings in the super bowl.

More proof, he has the lowest Interception % in the history of the NFL (around 1 in 50 pass).

Ravens, Steelers, Jets, bring anybody on.

I don't think the season's over. I mean, yes the Packers are about 2 levels higher than everybody else in the NFC, but who else is there?

All off-season and early this season, I had been watching the analysis on TV and they kept harping about chemistry and leadership over and over. I was naive and thought that there is too much talent and that those things are overrated. This is a team that was put together and built in a way that it's going to struggle early in September but that it will get better in November and December.

I still have faith.

There are talks about them trading for Curry.

I've given up hope on the D for now.

The offense is just going to have to put up 30 pts every week. (At least)

Its only four games, remember the Packers last season at this point?

Packers were 3-1 after four games last year lol.

Yes, I agree that people are over-reacting but it's not just these 4 games.

They've lost 6 of their last 7 games going to last year. (although one was with backups)

Don't think the Seahawks are serious about trading him. He'd cost a 3rd round pick and he's proven to be nothing special.

Can't be much worse than what the Eagles have right now.

They have 10 picks in next year's draft so they have the ammo.

Packers wouldnt have won if it wasnt for the fumble by R.Mendenhall lol. I'm not even comparing Flacco to Arod but Packers havent played a strong team yet. We'll see how they do against the Falcons next week.

Atleast their defense is better than Giants' D :)

They had one bad game against Raiders but they imo, they still are one of the top 3/4 D's in the league.

Ravens are easy team to throw on? lol. We might be short on CB depth, but we have so far stopped Santonio Holmes, Plaxico Burress, Derrik Mason, Antonio brown, Hines Ward, and Mike Wallace.

The funny thing is, our 2 starting CB's have been inactive since week 2.

Btw, we have also stopped the following rb's so far this season: Rashard Mendenhall, Chris Johnson, Steven Jackson, Shawn Green and LT.

True can't be worse, but we need someone relatively proven so it won't take a long time to adjust, which is why I said Tatupu. Even if he is injured he could do like a coaching job and telling our lbs how to tackle.

GC & Whyk

I dont think it matters even if we somehow get some quality lbers in it would make any difference as Caustillo is the problem; he has no clue what the heck he is doing I dont even think he could coach high school or pop warner on defense... I think its best we tank the season and aim at a very high draft pick for next year and get a STUD Middle Lber.. ANDY RIED simply doesnt value Lb or safety positions at alll, its a fricken shame how he simply wont change his tactics even after failing over and over again..............I thought he wouldve realised after Jeremiah Trotter was gone the value of a true Middle backer BUT NAHHHHH

None of the WRs you've listed have done anything significant this season, against any team!!

Those running backs have done absolutely nothing this years as well.

Need to come up with something better.

Big Ben passed for 280 yards against your defense and he has been awful this year.
Wallace, whom you "stopped", managed to grab 100 yards!

Hasselback passed for 358 yards. And he's washed up!
Kenny Britt tore it up in your secondary - 135 YDS!!!

Jackson had only for carries and was out due to injury. He average 5.8 per carry while he was in there.

Bottom line - Ravens defense s good but not great. A good QB will tear them up if they blitz like they did vs the Jets.

Tanking the season wont be great idea but if it fires some people, I will be all for it. I think we wont make playoffs but if somehow we are 500 by bye week we will have a shot. Reid never got it before he had Johnson to help out with getting defensive players. I say if we lose next 2 games then we can tank the season.

lol! Its been only 4 weeks. Most of the players I mentioned were STARS last season and have been for quite a while. We had a bad game against Titans (as predicted) only because our players still were steelers win, lol

^*were still celebrating the win against steelers.

Ravens got shut down by the Titans. Flacco was off. Lee Evans was hurt. Coach harbaugh was still expirementing with different CBs and Safties (Pollard barely played, and Domonique Foxworth was our starting CB--he was also injued and has been inactive since that game, We didn't use our rookies at CB and TE's effectively. Couldn't run Rice either. Ricky Williams had a crucial game turning fumble I remember. Then we got down in the game and we were off synch.

You guys can give up on the season if you want. I still have faith.

Can't wait to say, "I told you so."

Jerret Johnson gets the Defensive player of the week award-- 3rd ravens players to get this award in 3 of the first 4 weeks of the season.

Under Chuck Pagano, the defense has notched 11 sacks and 28 quarterback hits through four games. It comes a year after the Ravens recorded a franchise-low 27 sacks in 2010.

That Ed Reed-forced turnover on Sanchez is one of a 14 so far this season. The Ravens are on pace to finish with 56. The franchise record is 49 from the iconic 2000 season.

Whats scary is that Ravens now have one of easier scheduals in the league after the bye (excluding the Steelers and Texans game) :D

Packers wouldnt have won if it wasnt for the fumble by R.Mendenhall lol. I'm not even comparing Flacco to Arod but Packers havent played a strong team yet. We'll see how they do against the Falcons next week.

Yeah he just ran and dropped the ball, Clay Matthews was not even there tacking and slamming the ball out of his hand.

Its like saying Giants would not have beaten the Patriots in the Superbowl if Eli did not escape the rush make that pass and have that miracle catch.

Big players make big plays at the right time, that what Clay did.

Anyways, what are you talking about Packers have not playerd anybody this season

CB Bryan McCann to Ravens :D
