Well played Giants.

Gutted as a Niners fan. To come so close.

I feel for the kid Walker, his two mistakes cost the 49ers 10 points.

But the organisation has come on a long way, 9 years of dross and finally a season worth remembering. We gave those Giants a real fight, battered Eli with some fierce hits but credit to him, he is elite and he led them brilliantly.

I think the Giants are destined to win this one but its very close to call.

As for niners they will need to make some serious upgrades in the Wide Receiver department. Crabtree was a huge dissapointment. And 3rd down conversion was just not good enough, a real achilies heel for the niners.

Not sure who I will be rooting for, My younger brother is a Giants fans but I have good friends who are Pats fans.

Will be a good one for sure.

I feel both Ravens and 49ers are almost there. There defence was unbelievable but both teams need to get a top QB.

lol what? Flacco had a MUCH better game than Brady..

lol what? Flacco had a MUCH better game than Brady..

That's one game. Flacco has been questioned by his own teammates. I think Flacco cares a bit too much about what the media thinks. He needs to man up and show it on the field more often.

Even if the pad and protect gear NFL is a lot more than Rugby. No crime, but the ID of the danger, and to see a truly global movement of movements, not just an American play with each other.

lol what? Flacco had a MUCH better game than Brady..

He did in terms of numbers. But I think Brady made the plays that counted, eventually. That 4th and 1 QA sneak esp, was ballsy! Flacco, had the 3rd and 1 play where he could run it in for a 1st and instead got too locked on to Pitta (ball swatted away by Moore). And another 3rd down play where your fullback was wide open for a TD and Flacco instead forces a throw that results in a FG attempt!

The Ravens really had everything going for them.... and yet lost!

Brady has a bad day
Flacco has a career day (for him anyway)
Ravens defense made 2 awesome interceptions
Ravens were +2 in TO differential
Pollard took out his game quota of 1 Patriot: Gronk was injured in the 3rd quarter

With all this, they still ended up losing! The resiliency of the Patriots was truly awesome to watch, as a Pats fan!

Suggs: "Who? ... What?"

And then Eli said to Peyton...

LOL.. I really hope he's not done because he's a class quarterback and one of the best the game has ever seen! And this season showed everyone how he's carried the Colts for years on his own! Legend!

lol Randy Moss announced that he wants to comeback to NFl..

Spags isn't even there anymore. Fisher doesn't want headaches like Jackson. Danny Boy will get RG3 if he really wants him.

Whoops I meant FIsh, not Spags my bad...I feel Eagles if they offer what I mentioned above, they will get RGIII.. Jackson is not a headcase, he is just immature ...

Lets see Rams get Desean, Asante, our 1st (15th pick) which could land them Kluechy and a second round pick which could get them a very decent DT or safety to replace Mikell or to be groomed under him... Fish pulls the trigger if the Eagles offer the above I feel................................

Why would you want to give up so much and get a guy who had 1 good year in college?! Just one! Eagels have much more important holes to fix, if you are trading Desean and Asante, you can get so much more than RG3.

All this talk about his speed at the combine means jack. Measure a QB based on his ability to read defenses and accuracy. Even arm strength should be a distant third. Thats the reason guys like Brady slip to the 199th overall pick and someone like JeMarcus Russel gets picked 1st!

QB, I think your understating RG3s talent. Rams can easily get an Eli like package for him.

I don't think the Rams want anything to do with a CB who will 32 next season. Bradford is not an established QB and I don't think Fisher wants to bring in someone like Jackson who has the reputation for giving up on some plays. The Redskins are willing to swap their 1st round pick this year (6th overall), a 1st next year, and a couple of more middle round picks this year (3rd and 4th). The can get a great WR like Blackmon with the 6th.

Im sure some team will definitely pay give up a ELI type package to get RGIII, I just dont see sound football reasoning behind it. Call me a skeptic, but I cant quantify RGIII as a franchise QB. Newton's success last year will empower many teams to believe in him though.

I do agree with you that it makes total sense for the Rams to do it. Get a bunch of picks to build a young team, around Bradford.

Who do you see the Giants drafting in the first round? They are a safe team to predict generally. Rarely move out of their 1st round spot.

The Giants have a tendency to take the best players available. The don't go by what the team's needs are. A lot of mocks have them taking Fleener or Dwayne Allen. This is fast becoming a TE dominated league and Giants could use a dynamic one. They could also go OL or CB.

Eagles need a big play threat in the ENDZONE, VJax or Plax would fit that mould, Desean would give Bradford that much needed big weapon, Asante would appeal to a defensive minded coach like Fish at the same time give us a lot of cap space... RGIII From a franchise prospective will bring the fanbase alive after a dissapointing last season, its the perfect way to mould him by riding the bench under Vick and Kafka for a year and take over next year like how DOnovan came through..

AT worst Eagles are calling a bluff to jack the prices up for Skins so they have to give up a crazy compensation in order to get him which will screw them up for years to come.. With Danny Boy at Helm I can see this happening; RGIII in the basket for a ridiculous offer and then RGIII gets killed behind that horrible Oline of the Skins and within no time turns into a BUST............

I don't care for the future with RG3. I want them to make the moves necessary to win with Vick in the present.

Djax tagged; this would confirm his days in the NEST are over,,, a trade might not be that far away.....

Saints could be in a lot of trouble for their "Bounty" system. Saints defensive players were apparently rewarded for injuring other players.

The Saints could:
1) Lose their 1st round pick
2) Be fined a lot of money
3) Lose their franchis tag for the year

Former defensive coordinator Williams coud be barred from the NFL.

luke keuchly looks more like the Philly Pick in all honesty........Hopefully get Plax and also sign another veteran safety and Eagles would be finely tuned after a full training camp...

This, coming from a Pats fan - I feel for Manning, the franchise he built dumping him and because he got injured! Absolute legend!

I really hope Manning goes to Miami or Jets. Brady vs Manning twice a year would be awesome...

Just heard; Skins gave up 3 1st round picks, 2012,2013,2014 and a 2nd round pick in 2012 to the Rams in exchange of the No.2 pick... Danny boy has screwed the skins again lol.. RG3 behind that skins Oline would be a BUST in no TIME... Fish has pulled off a major major upset here, Rams are going to be a force to be reckoned with in the near future...

Skins have a lot of Cap Space and they can put a solid team around RG3. Rams are going to be a good team in a couple of years.

Speaking of cap space - Adam Schefter is reporting that the Skins and Boys will lose million in cap space due to front loading contracts last year. Boys could lose 10 million and the Skins 36 million over 2 years.

******** from the NFL, it was an uncapped year so they should be able to do what they like regardless of whether the other teams in the league were reluctant to do the same. Not to mention the fact that the league approved the same contracts they're punishing teams for now, amazes me how the NFL finds new ways to be hypocritical year after year.

It was an unwritten rule and every team was told that front loading contracts could come back to hurt the teams under the new CBA. Jerrah and Danny Boy -being who the are- took the easy way out and will pay for it. The NFLPA also agreed with the NFL on this matter.

Unwritten rule = No rule. They're getting done for not engaging in collusion with the other teams. The NFL approved the restructuring of the contracts at the time and is now punishing them for breaking a rule that never existed. The whole thing stinks.

The NFLPA also agreed with the NFL on this matter.

The NFLPA was basically forced to agree because if they didn't then the NFL wouldn't increase the salary cap.

Skins continue to sign WRs. Garcon and Josh Morgan already signed. Eddie Royal is close. Add the 3 to Moss and they've got a good passong attack with Davis at TE.

As Long as the Skins dont sign Vjax, NFC East is already too tough as it is we are heading back to the late 80's to the early to mid 90's it looks like.. Good to see still..

You should be over the moon, looks like Rams might win the superbowl again before Philly lol..

That isn't happening until we get competent people in the front office. I'm looking forward to seeing how we manage to whiff on the thousand first round picks we have in the next 3 years.

Cole Extended, looks like Eagles are gonna lock up all home grown talent.. Well deserved Cole the greatest Eagles DE drafted since Reggie White RIP..... Hunter is now on the Prowl :D

Who do you think Fish has his eyes on with your 2 1st round picks...That kid that was the WR for RG3 in college very similar to Desean but a little slower should be one of the targets for sure..

Brandon Llyod coming to New England! Woo Hoo!

And at $4million a year when the Skins threw $8mil at Garcon! :))

The Pats FO has to be one of the most underrated ones in the NFL...

Not sure why they'd pay Manning that much money to be a backup.

Sucks for Tebow. He can move to another team but who wants him? If Manning can regain his form from previous seasons before his injury Denver is definitely a threat. They have a good defense and running game. Only thing lacking was a QB. Now they have one...

Yeah, the Patriots NEVER get any credit for personnel decisions do they?

Also, Lloyd was always going to follow Josh McDaniels so it was going to be practically impossible to pay over the odds for him.

Rumours are Tebow may be traded to the Jets or Jags...really? First we have Sanchez now Tebow. 2 most overhyped QBs in the league :(

Eagles get Demarco RYans from Texans... That solves the MLB issues now draft that big DT with the 15th pick

Suprised Manning did not go with the 49ers. He has more of a legitimate shot at winning the Superbowl with the 49ers than the Bronco's. But money talks I guess. Or rather he believed the Bronco's to be a better fit than the 49ers.

Still we've got Alex Smith back. :wasim

Distinction, buddy. BB vs FO. Difference.

2 years ago, he had the MOST yards in the league, catching passes from Orton! You're telling me that other teams would not have paid more than $4mil per for him? Esp when you see the boneheaded moves from teams like the Skins and Jags...

The guy got traded for a freaking 6th round pick last year. Slow down the hype machine.

I guess he did not want to play Eli.

But yeah 49ers were his best bet at SB.

However the Defense in Denver was fantastic last season (they won the games, not one drive from Tebow!).

Denver's defense was way overrated. Peyton went to Denver because the pressure to win the SB in San Fran would have been overwhelming. Alex SMith took the team to the NFC Championship game so it was SB or bust for Manning. With Denver he can ease his way into the role. Take a year or so before making a SB run.

The penalties for "Bountygate" have been revealed.

- Saints HC Sean Payton has been suspended for the entire year
- GM Loomis suspended for 8 games and fined $500K
- Saints fined $500K and will lose 2nd round draft picks in 2012 and 2013
- Former Saints DC and the current DC if the Rams has been suspended indefinitely.

Doesn't matter what offers he had from other teams, he was going to go wherever Josh McDaniels landed because of the mutual respect they have for one another.

Santonio Holmes was traded for a 5th round pick coming off a year in which he was the SB MVP. You never get fair value in such trades.

He didn't get traded the year after he got SB MVP.

A lot of his value decrease had to do with his discipline and pending suspension.
