I kind of got lazy with following the NFL last year after the Eagles' season went south (which was pretty early).

What was the reason for his drop-off last year?

If you're talking about JPP's drop-off then it was mostly caused by the back issues. He had offseason back surgery and will likely miss a couple of games to start the season.

Moore also saw his draft stock fall. He was rated a top-10 pick but fell off after poor numbers at the combine. But now he's proving people wrong. Steal in the 3rd round for us.

JPP. That's a shame. Even as an Eagles fan it was fun watching this guy play.
 
Vick looks real good in the pocket, calm composed, our OLine if it gels should be the best in the league... Felix Jones is not gonna make it, I was so excited when we signed him looks like he is finished... In the meantime LETS GO BIRDS:

Kenny Phillips cut by the Birds. I knew something wasn't right when the Giants didn't resign him, especially since it wouldn't take a very big contract to do so. He joins Steve Smith, Mario Manningham, Aaron Ross, Brandon Jacobs, etc as players cut by Giants who never went on to do well with other teams. Hope Bradshaw has a decent year. He always gave it his all as a Giant.

Also, our starting safety Stevie Brown is out for the year after tearing his ACL in last night's game. Some fans want the Giants to invite Phillips back and give him a chance.

I'd recommend it. Not based on anything I've seen from Phillips, but based on the safety play I've seen from the Eagles since B-Dawk left, it's not good if you can't make it in Philly.
 
Andre Brown broken leg out for at least 8 weeks. Leaves us with Wilson and a whole of nothing at RB. Is the return of Brandon Jacobs on the cards....
 
Casey Mathews makes the team over Mccoy at LB ? WHat the ?????????????????? we had to put up with enuff BYU rejects during Reid's time now we have to put up with Oregon bi-products it seems GREAT!!!!..

Guy just can't calm down after the whistle. He's the one who got in it in the Superbowl and ended up shoving the ref, he started fighting a Patriots player in camp as well.

They did make an error but I think the 49ers were the better side and fully deserved to win. Great opening game, impressed with the Packers run defense did a pretty good job on Frank Gore and Co. Kaepernick was awesome.
 
6 turnovers and still had a chance to win it. Giants have a dangerous offense if Wilson just hold onto the ball.
 
This Eagles team sure is fun to watch!

Whether they'll be able to sustain it, who knows. But loving it right now on Monday night!
 
Eagles off to a fine start, shouldn't have let the feet off the gas as we gave the Skins a chance to come back need to go for the kill.. Rookie head coach with a good start, I am excited for the season...

Definitely odd 2nd half there.

Defense was surprisingly good!
 
Chargers... Well at least i got a half of good football as opposed to the usual full game of rubbish.

University of California, Berkley has been kind to the Eagles; 1) Desean Jackson & now Mychal Kendricks :D............
 
Today is more of what I expected from the Eagles this season.

Bad defense with a offense looking to get on the same page.

RG Knee will be out of the league in a few years, that kid is not going to last.... But Bridgewater would have looked awesome in midnight green.... DAMNN IT!!!!!!!!!!!!
 
HA Vick has reverted back to his old ways!!!! Bridgewater might become a possibility afterall...

Always seems like the sky is falling in the first half of the season for the Giants and then they turn it on come December and playoffs.

That's true but I've never seen the O-line fail like they have this season. ELi has less than 2 seconds to get the ball away. That's why his picks are so high. He got sacked 4 times in the first quarter alone yesterday. Was knocked down 10 times.

Following this team for nearly 30 years now I don't even know what to believe anymore, but ill buckle up for the ride....... I think we can take Dallas out this week with Ware, Murray and Ratliff out of the game...
 
Regardless Bridgewater would be nice if we could get him next Draft, heard his stock has fallen a little due to a poor outing...
 
I don't like Johnny's attitude, Philly fans and media would tear him into bits, he wont last long there.. If somehow Bridgewater is there when its out turn then CHA CHING!!!!!!!!!!!!.......

I hope we finish with the worst record and wind up with the #1 pick. It'd be great f we can move down a couple of spots and still get Clowney as other teams will need QB help. We need Clowney. JPP has sucked this year but I give him a mulligan. He's coming off serious back surgery and should have been left on PUP till week 7. He was rushed back. Also, Tuck will be gone and Clowney could really help JPP get back on track.
 
I cant predict this one, Eagles 0-9 in Philly, I have this feeling Gints will take this one but could swing either way..
 
Eagles have been horrendous at home for over a year now but no way they lose to this Giants team. Unbelievable how bad the G-men are this year.
