The PSL 2021 Player Draft Thread (January 10)

Will Rashid be available for whole tournament. I see, afghanistan have 2 series in feb-march window (vs Zim and India)
 
QG went with Tom Banton when his full availability is not confirmed. Big call
 
LOL Banton is a bad pick. He will likely be unavailable because of England's tour to India which runs through PSL
 
Another good pick. Nabi is a quality all-rounder. Brings alot of depth to any side.

Arshad Iqbal
Aamir Yamin
Mohammad Nabi

That lower order batting is improving.
 
Mohammad Nabi goes to Karachi Kings,handy pick as an allrounder. Wasim Akram is a smart brain...:)

Zim series was moved to late jan but not finalized yet. Ind is playing Eng from start of Feb to almost end of March so not sure how they will be able to schedule the postponed Afg series when Eng would be on tour.
 
Karachi need another top order batsman after they traded Hales. Get Lewis in
 
Weird to pick Tom Banton if he isn't going to be available for a lot of the tournament. QG will probably replace him when England announce their LO squad to play India.
 
I'm guessing most of the platinum agreed beforehand to demote them to Diamond if they don't get picked in Platinum.
 
KK pick Dan Christian. Not a good pick IMO.

Too many all-rounders. Needed a good solid MO Batsman.
 
How many all-rounders do you need? Dan Christian, Imad, Nabi
 
KK filling in the team with quite a few all rounders. Already had Imad and Yamin, now they have Nabi and Christian

QG basically wasted their chance because the best platinum players will likely be picked by then.

IU is gonna go for a batsman, their bowling is already stacked. They need a top order batsman.

I don't like the sound of that. Too many all-rounders means a compromise on the batting. Unless they bought Dan Christian to improve the bench strength in case an injury arises, it won't make sense to play all of them together.

Has been in decent form in Big Bash and also was crucial in Nottinghamshire T20 blast win as captain with both bat and ball. Currently striking it at 186 with an avg of 26 in BBL.
 
LQ need a top order and middle order batsman to really compete in this edition.

Lewis could have been a great pick for them. He could have paired up with Gayle at the top of the order. They still can if Banton gets selected for England and because Lewis somehow went unpicked.

Pretty decent player and anyone who makes Eng white ball team now a days in such competition definitely has some pedigree.
 
Dwayne Bravo missing out on getting picked was pretty surprising.
 
Ammad Butt for Peshawar Zalmi, very nice pick, batting allrounder which zalmi needed...:)
 
Gonna change my loyalties from Zalmi to Isloo this year I’m thinking, Isloo looks stacked
 
Amad Butt was a pretty good pick by PZ. Helps with the overall combination
 
KK pick is Chadwick Walton. Needed a WK, not sure they should have gone back with Walton specially with Rohail Nazir available.
 
As an IU fan I hope we sign another specialist batter and an overseas seamer.
 
How does C Walton get picked up?
Plays every t20 leagues apart from Ipl.
May be good connections.
 
Rizwan is yet to be picked as well as Abdullah Shafique and Iftikhar
 
Phil Salt retained by Islamabad United,islo playing safe...:)
 
Joe Clarke is actually a super talented player. Touted by many as a real future batting star for England. Will be interesting to see how he does.

Analysts possibly doing their job. Joe Clarke is a solid “nobody”. Was good in T20 blast and is one of the top rated young English batsman for white ball cricket.
