No, some things are really weird. I heard they even hide the groom's shoe or something?

Lol. None of the female posters ever post pictures of yourself. Next thing you know you'll get messages like

"Missed you on Pakpassion today.

-Mamoon"

Insanely brilliant:)):)))!

I think larki walay also send breakfast the next morning. :dav

Yeah, I think so.

So not only do you have to part with your daughter, but have to give your son in law a watch, furnish his house and even provide him with a meal?

Blimey, what's the big deal with a watch and a meal when he will be sustaining your daughter for the rest of her life?

But you get to hide the guy's shoe.

Yeah, it is great. We get a lot of 'VIP treatment' during the early stages. However, it goes downhill after that. There is a special time for daily phainty after that.:misbah

I watched Naruto Shippuden with my bro last night. That show is very inspirational. Always motivates me to work hard.

I would prefer a halwa puri with channay breakfast, along with desi ghee ke parathay and desi ghi me fry kiye huway anday. Namkeen lassi would be welcome too.

I agree.

Correct. My plan is that I will just let them take the shoes. I could easily buy 2 pairs of new shoes in the amount of money they demand for returning the shoes.

The new Sachin smiley is awesome.

:srt

It is epic. It can be used in a variety of situations. #Versatile

Actually, I was 'running away' at Mamoon's supposed desire to get to know another member of the forum at a "personal level" ...

But some traditions are weird, I concur. A lot of them are adopted from Hindu customs, true Islamic weddings are extremely simple affairs.

This is one aspect I doubt I will ever understand. The focus on shadi is there as it is, but the accompanying relations, the traditions, the role-playing, all that stuff - plus the sheer importance given to such notions is utterly baffling.

Joota-chupai is supposedly a fun game when executed properly. But it hardly ever is. I once remember at my cousin's wedding (we were the larkay walay), his father in law (bride's dad) was running around with the groom's shoes and he simply ran and crushed my feet (he was a very short guy.. and fat)..

I only remember hearing a persistent yell, only to realise it was me who was screaming.

Had some pretty weird cuts and bruises on my feet later. But that was one crazy shaadi, I swear..

Our boy would be called Amaan and girl Anaya.

If we have a second son, his name would be Zayaan and second daughter, Pernia.

Aman, these names were chosen ages ago. You weren't the inspiration behind the name of my first boy. :iqasim

Such cute thoughts cross my mind all the time, but I goof up in a girl's presence.

She: "If you aren't written in my fate, I will spend the rest of my life with my sister and never marry."

Me: "Should anything happen to you, I too will spend the rest of my life with your sister."

*Break-up!*

Geez, that's a lot to look forward to. And it's not even the bride who hides it.

You know the saying, "before you criticize someone, walk a mile in their shoes."

That way you're a mile away. And you have their shoes.

This thread has turned into the complexity of getting married - the second coming.

From Wikipedia

"Junaid Khan has done F.Sc. In an interview to Aaj News, when he was asked about marriage, he told that he has no plan of getting married at the moment."

Looks like hes saving himself for 96 not out :yk

Either that or she edited it herself :afridi

Now i have to explain to my family why i have

"Junaid Khan married" on my search history :/

That wasn't me, it has wrong punctuation.

But it looks like he got my message. :D

I should really be studying but here I am checking out this hilarious thread :)))
Totally worth it

1. I call dibs on Junaid Khan.

2. As far as I know, she has no intentions of marrying him. If she does, well then, too bad. Sorry, Cricket083. :P

He'll be warming up one day and you'll bundle him into a black bag. throw him in your car and wake him up 1000 miles away in your compound.

Almost like a Stephen King novel
