I asked a girl who isn't interested in a relationship about her feelings towards friends with benefits thingy. She replied back 'excuse you'. Now I don't know how to proceed. Any help players? :moyo

excuse you - It's sometimes used when the speaker thinks they were owed an "Excuse me" apology. I think it's rather juvenile and rarely hear it, if ever. Count yourself lucky you didn't get a knife in the ribs.

:asadrauf

Ok forget this all.

She replied and lied that she is married with 2 kids :inzi

What are the attitudes like of native South Koreans to South Asians? Did you have trouble adjusting to their culture?

south koreans are very polite :yk , extreme patriotic :imran ( google finger chopping ) , impossibly extreme hard workers :sachin and heavy boozers :asif.. but they are not that intelligent when compared to europeans or americans ( from my experience ) .. we desis are super smart anyway :afridi

generally they are very shy arnd foreigners .. i think other than work culture i didnt change myself much ..
but their work culture is complete opposite of ours.. they give every drop of their blood to employers and usually never say NO to their managers even when they ask them to jump from top of the building :zoni

While trying to know the difference between meaning of Disinterested and Uninterested ,i read following sentences.. :)))

Muhammad Ali Jinnah was a great leader because his political motives were absolutely disinterested ...

The poor spectator feels uninterested in cricket when he finds that a batsman takes an hour to score 10 runs...:misbah

Once upon a time king became angry with its people and opened fire on them .Hearing the voice of firing individuals on the streets and neighbourhood started to gather ,a crowd was together everywhere there was hubbub and the park was called the centre of entertainment and from its central gate the president of pakistan arrives prays salat e istasqa, turns salam and all by saying 'wa alaikomusalam beats hello for which being rightly proud of is less becoz water is also scarce and inflation is also compeling. Therefore the water taps should be broken to restore electricity system and paper action shud be taken against those who demolished the system

I feel pretty small right now.

So perhaps we can't reach stars even if we travel in a spaceship that travels with the speed of light?

with human average age being about 80 odd years, let's say a kid starts his journey and travels with speed of light he will die of age before reaching many of these galaxies and stars.

Re: Topic-less thread

Why do some people walk so slowly.

hate when someone calls and when you don't recognize his/her voice they start playing guess who games, pisses me off

A question.....

When you are in love, is your 'heart stolen' or does the other person 'live in your heart':13:?

Please clarify as I am a bit confused, considering that people use both the terms for the same case:20:.....

Love doesn't exist. It is just lust. Chemical reactions in your body. Your hormones reacting.

Platonic love is something else though.

Anthropologist Grover Kantz donated his body as well as his dog's body (after death)to science. This is the result.

Success has many fathers, while failure is an orphan

i am getting really angry now..came to this study room for some work...and in the next computer one old creepy (american) is hitting on a young chinese girl.. asking her what she likes.. do you like scary movies?? i have some scary movies collection.. do you like cats..i have 3 cats.. wow..is that your picture..you look so pretty.. and the chinese girl is loving all the attention from a white old man..

i really hate people who dont know manners..a study room is meant so that people can study in silence..not to hear you 50 year old virgin trying to hit on a chinese girl...

Tell them directly (but politely) to keep it down. I hate when people talk in study rooms as well.

In 1925, a dog named Hachiko waited for 9 years after the death of his master outside the train station every morning until the dog himself passed away
Hachiko.jpg

A dog’s love towards his family is unconditional, and a classic example of this is Hachiko, an Akita dog who was born in 1923 in Japan. He was adopted by an agricultural professor who took him home and took on the role as his new owner. Both of them formed a very special bond.
Hachiko

Hachiko

During their time together, the professor would take a train ride home each working day and be greeted by Hachiko at the train station. Hachiko would sit and wait for the professor at the end of each working day, without fail. The pair continued this daily ritual until sadly one day the professor suffered from a cerebral hemorrhage (brain bleed), and passed away, never to return to the train station again where his beloved companion was waiting.

For the next nine years, Hachiko attracted the attention of many people far and wide as each day, without fail, he would visit the train station as normal and wait for his owner, hoping to see his best friend step off the train and greet him once again.

Hachiko passed away in 1935, aged 11 years. A movie was released in 2009 based on the story of Hachiko and the professor, called Hachi.
