Do you guys think Cena should win the world title for 17th time? I think they should book him to win it for 2 reasons - 1) he is an ATG, and 2) it would be a nice farewell for him considering this is supposed to be his last Wrestlemania.
Cena should absolutely win. Losing it would hurt the momentum that he has gained as a result of turning heel.

And besides, Cody has been a champion for a year now. I am sick of these lengthy title reigns in Triple H’s era. Not every world champion has to hold the title for so long.

Agree.

It's okay if the run is for 4-6 months. 1 year is too much.

Cody is not a big dude like Goldberg or Brock Lesnar to warrant it.

hahahaha.Loved the mainevent.
I guess Heyman and Seth are joining Cena and Dwayne tomorrow.

The ending was so predictable. It was a good main event but was it enough to save night 1 of Wrestlemania? I don’t think so.

I wish circumstances had been different and Brock Lesnar had been in the main event with Reigns and Punk instead of Rollins.

Good main event. It was predictable but was pulled off well so still enjoyable. Honestly out of the wrestling verse, Heyman is the best actor, far above Rock, Cena and Batista. Man’s facial expressions are gold.

You have to be the greatest to remain relevant for 30 years as a manager in prowrestling world which Heyman definitely is.
I love how he plays his character to be a hoe. Now we can finally have Rollins turn heel from this cringe face run.
Roman's in ring work just keeps getting better.

Just because it was predictable doesn't mean it wasn't good. I thought it was a fantastic main-event. Saved the show imo. The turn was brilliantly executed. Seriously, they should give Heyman an Oscar already. In particular I was really impressed with how all three were constantly involved in the match. Alot of the times in three-ways you see one guy lying outside the ring for minutes while the other two guys do spots in the ring. Hopefully this signals a more serious change for Seth Rollins. Because most of us have been pretty sick of the Seth 'Cringelord' Rollins era for a while now.

Exactly. Predictable done right is still amazing. Paul was MVP of the match.

And yeah like @BunnyRabbit said as well finally we have Seth where he should always be as a heel.

The face turn should’ve been temporary for the bloodline saga, after that he should’ve been the crooked character he’s known for.

Can already see Paul’s next promo where he trashes Roman for having no place anymore now that he’s no longer champ etc

Man if Seth and Heyman join Cena and Rock and Roman and Punk chip in to help Cody, it’ll be wild.

I know, I know. It’s similar to last year. But I’m all in for these types of once in a year type of wildness.

Will be very surprised if Stone bhai doesn’t feature with a stunner tomorrow.

Side note. I find it quite funny that certain people who have never thrown a punch in their life or received one, dog on pro wrestling for being fake and a waste of time etc.

But the actual killers who can wrestle, box, etc and legends of mixed martial arts are openly pro wrestling nerds themselves lol. Daniel Cormier, Israel Adesanya and Colby Covington who walks out to Kurt Angle’s themes in all his entrances.

Even today Dana White and Adesanya were in the audience. They know real fighting so they enjoy pro wrestling for what it is.

If Cena is supposed to win, I don't see Austin giving someone a stunner without impacting the outcome.

It still wasn't good enough night for a Wrestlemania though. The card and matches were weak af except the mainevent.

So… all those years of build up for Gunther being booked as a machine washed away with him tapping in 2 seconds? 🫥😐🫥😐
Gunter’s world heavyweight title reign was so underwhelming. He was booked so strongly as the IC champion but Triple H really dropped the ball when it came to his WH title run. And to make matters worse, he lost in a rather tame fashion to Jey Uso of all people.

Jey Uso who has never used a submission maneuver in his life makes him tap out in literally two seconds. It's an insult to your intelligence.

This match was probably the second best thing on the card, despite the burial of L.A Knight. Jacob Fatu is so good though. He's like Umaga but better.

I honestly watched a full Jacob Fatu singles match for the first time and damn bro for his size this man is one hell of a mover, flyer. He’s Umaga 2.0 and better

WWE need not exaggerate entrances for EVERYONE.

Few guys it’s ok.
But if you’re giving so much time to everyone’s entrance it takes the focus away from the actual matches.

Also what’s with the boxing/UFC style announcers for EVERY match. Now a new thing but another distraction.

That's always been a big thing with WWE that gets amplified on a show like WrestleMania. I agree that not everyone should get that kind of focus. Adds alot of extra time to the show. Also don't get the long breaks in between matches.

As much as I loved Umaga, he never had this level of athleticism. This guy just ticks all the boxes. Future main-eventer, without question.

Night 1

Wrestlemania stage was mediocre, no creativity at all, I feared a bunch of giant screens piled on top of each other and this was it, you’re in Las Vegas for gods sake, it should give you a couple of ideas on what you could do.

Also, where were the big fire works display and America the beautiful ? Look, people hate American gov but they love American culture, better not mess this up tomorrow night. This night never felt special enough and the drama was limited.

For me, this night was saved by the main-event which had everything; in-ring action, a great story and WM style drama; plus my GOAT got to main-event WM, that Punk video package legit made me tear up, it was put together so well and also the one for the rivalry with the machine head track had old school vibes, Punk did it man he F’n did it, no one can take this away from him or his fans, we waited over a decade for this and he proved he belonged, by far he got the biggest pop of the night among the top stars. If you wanted to watch a more trad triple threat I recommend Oba/Trick/Evans which was one of the best NXT PPV/PLE main-events of all time, but this was just pure cinema at Wrestlemania.

It was good to see El Grande get the W, but WM is all about drama, I don’t know if they pulled the plug on the plans they had with Rey but am disappointed in the lack of drama and making this a much bigger deal; when such constraints present themselves, you need to think outside the box, it’s Wrestlemania and am sorry but this match felt like it was on a regular Smackdown episode. El Grande deserves much better.

Great match between LA Knight & Fatu, nice little title change on the card, Fatu has taken the WWE by storm since making his debut, well deserved.

Jey had to go over and win the WHC, it was a nice moment and little scuffle I suppose, but doing Gunther dirty like that though…….would H ever tap out to someone like Jey Uso?

After the opener, I felt like WM went on auto-pilot, it wasn’t until Flair made her entrance that I woke up, Wrestlemania was alive again. Flair matches always age better, but I really enjoyed this match due to Flair’s ring work, you need to consider this was Tiffy’s WM debut against someone who was at least a few levels well above her, when it comes to WM women’s in-ring performances, this was one of the best ever, Flair has been out the ring for so long but she is just so at home in the ring, no rust or drop in her output; outstanding conditioning, excellent ring awareness and nobody can touch her selling P4P male or female, Flair is a natural and she was born to wrestle. I enjoyed the match overall, there were some slightly rough spots about 3-4 but I had to consider that Tiffy is making her debut, Charlotte can work a bit stiff at times but that added to the intensity and animosity between the two. Outside the main-event, this was the best piece of business on the card and the best singles match for me, every other match besides the ME is not something I haven’t seen before, Flair brings the fight and her matches are always a breath of fresh air.

If I was to say what my biggest disappointment was, that would be the El Grande segment, they didn’t do enough at WM, you need to give me a pay-off here and some more drama.

But this night will always be remembered for me with Punk main eventing and Flair’s individual in-ring performance, really cemented herself as Miss Wrestlemania.

On the betrayal it was done really well, the ball is in Seth’s court now, if you can’t get over from here as a major star, then that’s it then, you don’t deserve to be compared with the best ever. The selfish fan in me would have liked to see Punk/Heyman take control again but we’ve been there before or Heyman aligning with someone like Drew and making him the biggest star in wrestling which we know is long overdue, but you can make a case that everyone survives at the highest level without Heyman except Seth, you could argue that Seth needs Heyman more than anyone else potentially to bring out his best strengths and mask his weaknesses.
