this could have been on WWE and would have given WWE a much needed serotonin kick in this depressive post Cena era.
it could have been against el grande, solo, waller, freakin logan or even could have been used to give Trick Williams a credible Mania program. Jericho would have been able to elevate anyone listed with his feud camaraderie.

@RedwoodOriginal That bald TNA wank stain really cancelled MJF vs Nic Nemeth - I was really looking forward to that, what a goof he’s turning out to be. It was scheduled to be after WM weekend so I can’t imagine it’s the E who have him by the balls on this one, it was a genuine dream match because lets be real, in AEW, legitimately, no one in their prime is on the level of the devil, and MJF is running out of wrestlers to work with. He’s in a spot where has to carry the company on his back and his opponents; only man worth the TK moolah really

Well Jericho had the choice and he chose to stay in AEW, and more power to him for that. If WWE were really interested in having him back then they would have allowed him to do his outside projects and wouldn't have offered him a retirement run. I think WWE always had a bad faith offer in mind - let's get one over on AEW and then put him out to pasture after Gunther beats him. I wanted to see him in WWE too but as @shaz619 said, you can never trust Triple H especially when it comes to Jericho. The history is there for everyone to see.

Doesn;t surprise me tbh. Goes hand in hand with his philosophy of 'we want nothing to do with this guy, but so should nobody else.' Its reasons like these why I am glad AEW exists. For all their various faults ( and there are quite a few). fact is, they are the only thing standing in the way of a TKO monopoly.

Biggest difference between him & Vince, his fragile ego will never allow him to prioritise business, his position is completely untenable at this point & I struggle to understand why TKO would want him to continue past WM, if getting rid of him means letting go off that entire set-up then so be it. Jericho might be on the slide but it’s just insulting giving him a retirement run, I don’t go by his inconsistency because I know a motivated Jericho is money and in any case he can be utilised in a number of ways without forcing the retirement thing - who knows, maybe that was the one idea that imbecile genuinely came up with, I battle between how much of a shitty person H is or how much of a giant toilet is growing within that big skull with highway lines on his forehead

I take that point but I look at AEW in the same light but for eating up the indies & turning it into a two horse race and limiting our options even more than before they existed & WWE was about. But here that guy is just a goof who got worked by MJF, not sure why he’s in the wrestling business

The real people’s champ. Not even an exaggeration, completely believable that he was as over as Obama back then lol. Good thing he didn’t wrestle in today’s era where he would have to shave his head and play jobber #2 in the vision.
