this could have been on WWE and would have given WWE a much needed serotonin kick in this depressive post Cena era.
it could have been against el grande, solo, waller, freakin logan or even could have been used to give Trick Williams a credible Mania program. Jericho would have been able to elevate anyone listed with his feud camaraderie.

@RedwoodOriginal That bald TNA wank stain really cancelled MJF vs Nic Nemeth - I was really looking forward to that, what a goof he’s turning out to be. It was scheduled to be after WM weekend so I can’t imagine it’s the E who have him by the balls on this one, it was a genuine dream match because lets be real, in AEW, legitimately, no one in their prime is on the level of the devil, and MJF is running out of wrestlers to work with. He’s in a spot where has to carry the company on his back and his opponents; only man worth the TK moolah really

Well Jericho had the choice and he chose to stay in AEW, and more power to him for that. If WWE were really interested in having him back then they would have allowed him to do his outside projects and wouldn't have offered him a retirement run. I think WWE always had a bad faith offer in mind - let's get one over on AEW and then put him out to pasture after Gunther beats him. I wanted to see him in WWE too but as @shaz619 said, you can never trust Triple H especially when it comes to Jericho. The history is there for everyone to see.

Doesn;t surprise me tbh. Goes hand in hand with his philosophy of 'we want nothing to do with this guy, but so should nobody else.' Its reasons like these why I am glad AEW exists. For all their various faults ( and there are quite a few). fact is, they are the only thing standing in the way of a TKO monopoly.

Biggest difference between him & Vince, his fragile ego will never allow him to prioritise business, his position is completely untenable at this point & I struggle to understand why TKO would want him to continue past WM, if getting rid of him means letting go off that entire set-up then so be it. Jericho might be on the slide but it’s just insulting giving him a retirement run, I don’t go by his inconsistency because I know a motivated Jericho is money and in any case he can be utilised in a number of ways without forcing the retirement thing - who knows, maybe that was the one idea that imbecile genuinely came up with, I battle between how much of a shitty person H is or how much of a giant toilet is growing within that big skull with highway lines on his forehead

I take that point but I look at AEW in the same light but for eating up the indies & turning it into a two horse race and limiting our options even more than before they existed & WWE was about. But here that guy is just a goof who got worked by MJF, not sure why he’s in the wrestling business

The real people’s champ. Not even an exaggeration, completely believable that he was as over as Obama back then lol. Good thing he didn’t wrestle in today’s era where he would have to shave his head and play jobber #2 in the vision.

It would be one thing if it was a bonafide star like The Rock coming in and being put in this position where he was basically allowed to do whatever he wanted like dropping F bombs. But Pat McAfee? The only thing this is comparable to is David Arquette in WCW

Orton has gone from being the most dastardly heel on the roster to being a side-character playing second fiddle to McAfee

All so they can build to lame tag match down the road where Orton & McAfee team up against Cody and Jelly - a match that NOBODY WANTS TO SEE

FWIW, Vince always had his top talent’s image in mind. Let Mark go and compete and set the record straight even if it meant no WWE stuff for a while.

Compared to 🐕 Helmsley at the helm today, burying his own top crop at the hands of celebs and whatnot- where Vince knew Mark wanted to truly be called the strongest man in the world and let him go to those strongman competitions even after his strongman career was over to show that.

We are in the end of WCW era of WWE. Crash is imminent, then prob everyone will go to AEW or something I guess lol

I can't believe they literally had Pat McAfee come out to the ring and try to sell WrestleMania tickets. Such a low-rent and desperate move. They must be really concerned about the ticket sales if these are the lengths they are going to. He was even offering a limited-time 25% discount lol.

Feels like Dwayne is just willfully staying away to watch it crash and burn and will probably come back when the board decides to collectively sack Nose. Roman seems to be staying away from voicing his frustration on air towards the management.
If Nose thinks using Cody to take shots at Ari on air will help him get more control, he's mistaken.
These money leeches from tko only care about profits and money, they will kick out anyone.

Undertaker booking this 🔥🔥🔥

Why is that out of all the roles he could do, the biggest turd finds himself in the most important position 🤡🤡🤡🤡/10
Its a shame this match isn't on WrestleMania. I completely understand why its on the AAA show, because this feud is red hot in Mexico - but definitely would have liked to see it on the Mania card.

Btw, don't you find it a bit funny that Undertaker, a guy who has never booked in his life, has managed to become such a successful booker? Especially considering the fact that booking for Mexico is very different to booking for US...audiences there just respond to very different stuff. Honestly if I had to pick I would pick Taker as the guy who should book WWE. Because his vision of pro-wrestling is the one that is closest to what it should be in my opinion.

It's a shame Morishima couldn't make it in the WWE because he was truly a one of a kind wrestler. Had some bangers in ROH with Joe and Bryan but when the time came to go to WWE I think he had either given up or lost motivation. Had all the tools to be a massive star with the right manager. Definitely one of the biggest 'what ifs' in the modern history of wrestling.

Taker and Shawn should book one of Raw and SD each. NXT can be booked by AJ, Punk and Regal.
I definitely think Nose's sacking is on the card sometimes this year.

Let's hope it happens soon. I'm not sure how of these types of WrestleManias I can take

Hopefully it'll end with this one. I don't know but I can see Cena, AJ and Edge coming back if Trips is gone.
Don't see that happening. Two have retired and there's no reason to believe they will come back. Edge has done everythng there was to do in WWE and is happy in AEW

Edge was treated poorly in his last year by Nose. An endless feud with Judgement Day followed by 2 matches (vs Waller and vs Sheamus in his last 5 months).
Same thing with AJ, was treated like a jobber by Nose. Guys like Bronson Reed and Logan Paul were booked better than AJ (who was still at the top of his game)
Cena started planning out his retirement in 2022 as soon as Vince got out of WWE.
For 3 top guys who either retired or went somewhere else just as the new booker came in, can't be a coincidence.

It’s just greatness isn’t it, same with Shawn, the philosophy of these two men on wrestling is fantastic and they would get over in any era in any territory all around the globe, whereas a certain someone owes his success to marrying the bosses daughter. However, it is still surprising with it being AAA and his first gig, but maybe Taker has been waiting for this chance a while now, he’d happily replace H really I think he’d have the time for it, I just hope his wife doesn’t end up in a talent relations role

Not only did that cretin expose the business, he ruined Wrestlemania, imagine that, so much pressure on the entire roster now to deliver on the night and it should not be like that

That's actually one of the better brawls i have seen of late. WWE brawls have been so tame in last few years apart from the angles involving Brock.

Gable kept shooting with those suplex’s 🤣

@RedwoodOriginal Take was like guys I want you to go out there & just kill each other, no gimmicks, no planned spots or over-produced garbage

I havent’t watched FTR vs E/C 1 but going to see second match, Jericho return & the main-event from Dynasty, first few AEW matches since Punk left on my list now to eradicate myself from the filth recently

I think Edge wants to end his career with Christian. That's what he has said in interviews too. Being booked like that definitely played a large part in him jumping ship but at the end of the day, he wants to be in AEW where he has more creative freedom and can work with the wrestlers he wants to work with.

AAA looks like a decent show with more mainstream appeal. It actually looks better than SmackDown. JBL and Graves on commentary too.

Irony is that the show is on one of FOX's stations - a channel known for demonizing Mexicans as a sport, and the gimmick was initially made to appeal to the MAGA base, but Kaiser has taken it and ran with it. His El Grande is one of the most popular and beloved wrestlers in Mexico right now.

Edge is still as crisp in the ring as he used to be, it's just that his body is getting old. He can still mainevent Mania and give us great matches and feuds. Yeah but I don't see either being active wrestlers for 2-3 years now, Edge probably will come back for a short run in WWE if things change. He still can teach the young guys a lot there (except from stealing his friend's gf though :P )

Edge got out at the right time, he just needs to make better choices in AEW - simple stuff really like not be jumping of the friggin cage at 70 years old
I was actually surprised that he was modifying his style so well in regular matches against luchadores there so effortlessly without gassing out. But that is from 2 years ago.

They needed that RAW episode desperately.

And we are all Gunther in that segment against the sonah puthar.

We got AEW Punk two weeks in a row to.

🔥 From Oba / Brock, biggest undercard WM match since Lesnar vs Berg at WM 20

When you consider the talent which Ric worked with, this just reinforces my own view as well; and how many sports get to witness two of the GOAT’s go at it?

This was rightly voted match of the century by the PWI:

Honest to God I have not watched another Ric Flair match since this, and I will forever be grateful that Shawn gave him this send-off against all odds.

I also think Pat is 100% H’s call and not TKO which is a cover for booking ineptness, Pat being shoe’d in is H 101 booking move when Plan A went to sh!ts

Speed vs Logan Paal
Jelly Bean vs Vanilla Ice - Coffee Bean Match
Pat McAfee vs Ed Norton- Loser retires (until next year)
Lil Yachty vs Travis Scott vs LA Knight (LA loses by tap out by being sang autotuned lyrics directly into his left eardrum)

HHH “Put a 🚀 on ya” Levesque Era 👍

If we are supposed to believe that this is all a shoot then why isn't Cody Rhodes in jail for trespassing/breaking & entering, and vandalism? I mean what more evidence do you need besides 1080p CCTV footage?

This is legitimately some of the worst crap I have ever seen on WWE TV. Not even joking. It will go down as one of the worst angles of the modern era.

Whether H is the guy behind it does not matter - as the head booker it falls on him regardless. Let's assume its not his idea - well then that just makes it even worse, because that tells you that he's a powerless booker dancing to the whims of the TKO suits, who can be vetoed by them anytime they want.

Personally I believe that Ari Emmanuel does have alot to do with this since he's Pat's agent too. But instead of sticking his nose in a business he clearly does not understand in the slightest, he should be appointing someone more competent to run the show so he doesn't have to worry about low ticket sales.

I've read that the tickets sold for WrestleMania Night 1 are around 47k and Night 2 (more or less the same people) are around 48k.

That's little over half of what they sold last year. That's pretty embarrassing and now they will probably have to get creative with the camerawork because large sections of the stadium are probably empty. It would also likely be their lowest attendance since that 2021 pandemic WrestleMania.

Couldn't be happier that these greedy b@st@rds are getting what was coming to them. I'm sure they will lie and inflate the numbers considerably but fact is everyone can see the tickets sold.

And if it can play some part in HHH getting booted in the near future then there would be nothing better.

I don’t think so, hypothetically if he was involved, then H forced his hand, the build to WM has been diabolical long before Pat. H wants to keep Cody face as long as possible, the Drew match had the most heat but they were dumb enough to think randomly airlifting Orton into a new feud on such short notice was going to fix their wider issues with ticketing. And in the short interactions between Cody & Orton, the latter has been getting cheered for some brutal violence on Cody, so I can completely see H coming up with the Pat deal to get heat on Orton to paper over the cracks he created in the first place.

No offence but WWE Punk has nothing on AEW Punk

If we are being honest, it’s nothing for AEW to brag about, everything Punk did in AEW was driven by himself & despite the success, they couldn’t allow that because it was a threat to a business not interested in their little bubble being burst when it came to what their company should be. WWE is a completely different organisation & in that regard Punk has been better off because despite its flaws, it’s a business that judges itself on financial health and Punk was in it for that purpose whether AEW or WWE; as a pro-wrestler you should aspire to try & reach new heights, but there are levels to this and I don’t think anyone looks at it that way in AEW apart from MJF.

HHH “Put a 🚀 on ya” Levesque Era 👍

Good reminder this, I think we’re forgetting that Travis Scott was Triple Doofus’s decision to and at the time it got blamed on The Rock who was mishandled by the insecure dweeb.

What if this Orton push came from above but the piece of garbage is equally looking to sabotage a guy who was 10x the bigger star then he ever did was just like Cena, I mean Orton was doing Mizz duties in Saudi until recently.

What the actual F? Did MJF not sign an extension or something, in the middle of a reign which should have been the start of something special and this is what they do, making him job to that skinny 5 year old. Just reminded me why I switched of from their STD programming.

We’ve had a good few weeks lads, the E’s not selling tiks, their idiot booker is clueless making it a double Eid for us and we’re building the shows around a genuine top 5 talent in the world rn, TK: I got an idea, why don’t I go full re!ard?

Apparently it was a squash!! So after a lengthy match on PPV where he retained the belt, MJF loses to a midget suffering from anorexia in less than 2 minutes during an episode of Dynamite - was this one of those great Jon Moxley ideas, what is happening!!

They been doing a much better job outside of Triple Doofus who publicly has stated he has had to reign both of these top stars in because he was worried about them going off script 🤡

From an article I found:

Triple H says booking the CM Punk vs Roman Reigns feud was the most difficult because he knew both of them could go off the script any second on live TV.

In an interview with Joe Tess on WWE’s channel, Triple H just dropped a bombshell about the CM Punk vs Roman Reigns situation heading into WrestleMania 42.

According to The Game, the tension between these two is so thick you could cut it with a knife - and it’s not just for the cameras.

He straight up said the intensity doesn’t stop backstage, and at any moment it feels like everything could go “incredibly unprofessionally.”

You can practically smell the gas and see the sparks flying. This isn’t just storyline heat… this feels real.

The “F you” energy between Punk and Roman is apparently next level, and Triple H is trying to keep it together until they get it inside the ring at ‘Mania.

This might be one of the most dangerous main events we’ve seen in years.’

🤡🤡🤡🤡/10

H literally took the heat out the feud over some bs, it’s jealousy and nothing else.

Hey guys, be good, but please, don’t be too good.

Glad Reigns took matters into his own hands.

H hates reigns because he’s a one man show now and his own brand.

H can take the sledge hummer up the 🫏 , Reigns don’t care.

He’s such a narcissist that he genuinely thinks we can’t see through his bs, I felt like something was off, don’t get me wrong I think Reigns/Punk have been great, but I felt something was pulling them back, literally behind every issue it’s that hanjeer with a big ugly forehead, NEVER DOUBT IT 😡😡😡😡😡😡😡😡😡😡😡😡

It's baffling why they kept promos like this away from having been cut on RAW or SD.
Roman and Punk both blurring the lines masterfully by making marks think they actually hate each other and it's working.
These two are pure money. Shame the feud came at a point where WWE is at an all time low under the nose.

@shaz619 @Suleiman @RedwoodOriginal
Nose admits he didn't properly take over the booking till Mania 40 funnily (and sadly) after which is when things started going off the rails.
He just doesn't have any creativity. 100% agreed with Bret on this.
