<b>Alessandro Bastoni informs Inter that he wants to join Tottenham</b>

Alessandro Bastoni has told Inter he wants to join Tottenham to link up with former manager Antonio Conte, 90min understands.

Spurs have already taken Ivan Perisic for free from San Siro and want to bolster their options in central defence with a move for Italy international Bastoni.

90min understands the centre-back's desire to reunite with Conte has seen him inform the Nerazzurri of his desire to leave.

Bastoni played under Conte when Inter won the 2020/21 Serie A title and has since enhanced his reputation with another excellent league campaign.

Bastoni would compete for a spot in Tottenham's back three, which has incorporated Cristian Romero, Eric Dier and Ben Davies in a settled defence since Conte's arrival.

Inter are now reluctantly willing to enter talks over a transfer and have plans to bolster their own defence if Bastoni leaves.

Spurs had also been targeting a deal for Argentina striker Lautaro Martinez, though he has since confirmed his desire to stay at Inter, while goalkeeper Fraser Forster is set to come in as Hugo Lloris' new deputy following the exit of Pierluigi Gollini.

<b>Yves Bissouma: Tottenham agree £30m deal for Brighton midfielder</b>

Tottenham Hotspur have agreed a £30m deal for Brighton & Hove Albion's coveted Mali midfielder Yves Bissouma.

The 25-year-old becomes Spurs boss Antonio Conte's third summer signing, following deals for goalkeeper Fraser Forster and winger Ivan Perisic.

Bissouma, whose contract with the Seagulls expires in 12 months, has made 124 appearances since joining the club from Lille in July 2018.

The north London club were initially interested in signing him in January.

He is expected to undergo a medical at Tottenham later this week and the deal is subject to personal terms being agreed with the player.

The coveted central midfielder started 26 Premier League games for the Seagulls last season, scoring once.

He played an influential role in Graham Potter's side as they secured ninth place in the Premier League - the highest finish in the club's history.

Bissouma said last September it was not his time to leave Brighton but that he wanted to play in the Champions League, which Spurs have qualified for next season.
